Well, the only other option is to wait for HaloBean 9. I'm trashing 7 and 8 completely, and I'm about to rebuild off of Halobean 6 even though it will take longer. I'm also going to have to trash the 12 release candidates I made (yeah, made a 12th one... lucky number 13 coming up) since they're based on a faulty rom. Bleh I can't wait til summer vacation or at least spring break so I can smash bugs out...

It shouldn't be much longer, I haven't been able to make ANY progress due to not having a USB cable and I may get one in a couple of weeks (times are tough, not even enough wiggle room for a USB cable) and I can't even charge my phones. But once I get it I'll get right to work on it, as I already have a plan of action ready for this rom. I'll set things up on the computer side and then have something ready to go for when I'm able to at least charge my phones. Until then I'm stuck using a deactivated iPhone with Wi-Fi as my new carrier (ick) for now... so it'll be a bit before I can fix all that.

I can send u one if u need it

I really do its really bothering me that I can't fix this rom because I can't afford to buy a cable that costs $9 at Wal-Mart :/

STATUS UPDATE: I'm not sure if the Sprint apks are the reason tether is non-functional... other roms don't have it, and they work fine. On top of that, my changelog is wrong (I must've been half asleep while writing it that day) because I went through my rom zips and HaloBean 6 was the one where it was ALREADY removed. So I'm very doubtful this was the issue. I'll have to revise my changelog and record changes more carefully.

STATUS UPDATE AGAIN: Those 3 Sprint apks seem to be the only culprit that I can see, aside from converting system apps into user apps but that wouldn't do anything to tethering... although, I did notice when going through the smali code that there were dependencies on some hidden menu items and things in Phone.apk. Could it perhaps be an error that I missed...? I'll make a 13th RC and hope that this works... if I can't find the exact problem I'll have to rebuild from scratch.

Battery draining fast as crack after full charge only 2 hours and it's at 30 percent :(
Its been a day and a half for the skinny halo should I wait longer?

Weird... I've never calibrated my dev unit, and even my dev unit which I constantly keep on has never drained that fast.

Did you remember to run Battery Calibration like it says in the first post? :)

My other warp, the one that was donated to me by Sb43 for testing riskier stuff that I can't do on my personal warp because it could either brick it or make me lose important data. I use it for long term testing, like checking how battery life does in multiple instances, or how long the phone can go when running certain tasks.

Battery calibration does make a huge difference, in most cases. If you let it keep going, the battery indicator will probably freeze around the ten to eight percent battery mark for maybe 2-3 hours. It has done so on my other Warp, and battery calibration eliminates this (mostly. this comes back around the 2-3% mark after calibration, but it last like 20 minutes as opposed to a couple of hours). Also doing a battery pull helps, as I've had that happen to me before (after I calibrated) and I've never been able to find a real explanation for it.

if you're trying to conserve battery life, I'd step the cpu down from 1.8 ghz to 1.4 or even 1. The phone works fine on those lower steps, and I've gone all the way down to ~600 with no problems aside from lag. When I really need to conserve battery life, I use 122-800ish conservative/sio. But if its for something long term then 122-1024 conservative/sio, and I don't use games on these settings because this governor is meant to conserve battery life not decrease game lag.

theres an app called Voltage Control in your app drawer (you're welcome :D)

I left that app in there to easily change cpu values. After setting them (dont be afraid to play around, but don't use the Scary scheduler--its great, but conflicts with PowerNap) you need to save the values by hitting the menu key and save as init.d script or else it will reset on reboot

Thanks LilBit!
When I posted that question, I should have added another. Is Battery Calibration app useful with stock rom? My indicator goes down slowly for the first half of the charge & seems to go down faster after half empty (allowing for variations in app usage). It may be all in my head. On a totally different note, the same thing happens with gas gauges in cars I've had... the first half of the tank gets higher gas mileage than the second half. Maybe it's just the way some gauges work, or maybe I hallucinate :p

LOL!!! The same things happen to me too!!:p But, a battery calibration wont hurt anything, ;)
I hallucinate sometimes also:p

Battery Calibration works on stock rooted roms :)

If its not a lack of usb cables it my computer...
I know some of you remember when the hard drive on my laptop fried about a year ago when I was doing theme work... well my laptop stopped working again :( Windows doesn't wanna boot for me, and even System Restore and diagnostics and such are failing to repair the bad area in my system :( for now I can use my desktop but I'll be spending EVEN LESS time until I can get my laptop repaired since its time for midterms at my school and I really need some things on my laptop; I can't graduate without it. I won't be getting on as much this week so I can fix it asap and jump back into rom work as well... so wish me luck :o

Oh no! Maybe you can at least get the stuff off your laptop with your desktop & then borrow another laptop until after midterms.
:(
