Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] n00b (B10 based) VIII.II FULL Install 1/23/2013

good stuff sic and red and lil...

sic, I want you to know I appreciate your testing and giving feedback. It helps to know that you had a theme, I am going to put up a clean full install zip soon. Every themer has different apps themed in their zip, some of those are fine but others do impact the way the ROM runs if they aren't up to date with the latest ones, I did bring over many of the b10 apks so those need to be rethemed in some cases... most themes should run fine since I didn't hit a lot of the most common apps that get themed like systemui, framework-res, phone, contacts etc.

red, the lag caused by zram only happens after a day or more of running many apps and not rebooting, that's why it's never been a big deal to me because I reboot way more than most due to working on updates etc.

lil, good feedback as always, my defaults for the ROM are 1.6ghz, smartassv2 and sio so you are close to "stock n00b" just running a lil hot, which I have come to expect from you ;)

No Problem Mr. Bobo! I love the Rom, and it's one of if not the most stable ROMs available for this phone. I was debating getting the Galaxy SII...but with no 4g Coverage in my area, I will stick with the phone that WORKS. I don't have much in the way of issues with this phone, and it's thanks to your ROM, and your hard work. I worked with Unitology until it went defunct...Then I chose this one.

As for the Themes, while they make the phone pretty, it seems to mess up my functionality in the long run...I want to be able to flash an update, and not have to worry about it like I seemingly have to with having a theme. Sooo, I'll continue running it without themes.

My wife likes my phone so much, she wanted to upgrade hers. But it's been that way since I started with boost LOL. But finally we'll both have the same phone, running the same ROM and I can't wait to see what she REALLY thinks when this phone flies compared to her prevail she has now. Which yeah, it was my phone before I upgraded to the Warp.

Thank You Mr. Bobo!!!;) Yes, indeed, I do like to run a Lil Hot!!:D

I turn my phone off when Im at work. Thats basically a reboot every day. Also I like the ROM alot MrBobo, its got that snap bang.

So far so good on the second update! I will keep testing to make sure I am still lag free. I have no doubts that it will be great as always.

I added the full install with all the updates to the OP, this will wipe everything so it's really more for newcomers or anyone wanting to start fresh. NOTE: those of you who already updated from VII with the udpate, the VIII.I update and VIII.II update won't find anything new in there, you have the latest and greatest.

I will compile all the updates into one update zip soon, but for now you can flash them sequentially to update from VII without losing data/apps. (instructions in the OP to update)

The full install above contains everything needed to get up to the latest VIII.II release. (including the lag fix)

Hmm, no lag here, I dont think I need the newest update, But I did do a complete clean install this time.
The whole nine yards, Factory data reset , etc, even reformatted the sd card. I loaded the Rom and updates on my sd card through the laptop using a card reader, flashed them all one at a time doing reboots in between, Then downloaded my apps from the play store. I have the kernel backed off to 1708.

Basically this post is just to add to the database here for the rom. I have setcpu on smartassVII/sio.

Interesting, Im running sio/ondemand and full throttle at 1804, what is the advantage on running smartassVII just out of curiosity lol :D

Personal preference for me,;) it has always been that way, I find it to be the best and smoothest setup.:D

Will the Full Install install from Stock Recovery? Since the wife gets her new phone tomorrow, I'll just download that for her and push it all through at once.

It should. :D Make things a lot easier for you also, one shot and bam, their it is!!

It always has been able to be flashed through stock recovery,;) I dont see why Mr. Bobo would change that.:D

Not Always. ;-) But, it'll install. So I'm good. And the reason for the thought of it not going through, is because of saying he will add a complete update script. :-)

Don't know if it is just me but swap file from n00b VIII.I update works better for me than the one in the lag fix update

I'm running the lag fix... And it seems to start lagging in a short while... IDK, must be me and my phone... Oh well.

Here is something interesting for you. Every time I reboot my phone... My words with friends game is completely gone. I have to redownload it every time I reboot...
