Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] wrap 1.0

Ive NEVER heard of a script over clocking the cpu. As far as i know any overclock has to be done with a custom kernel. Other wise all android phones would easily be overclocked. Installed this and tested, cant see anything but a slightly theamed ROM....
 
Anyone currently running this look in/system/etc and see if there is an init.d folder please

Also, i agree about kernel mods needed for OC, but thing... There is the "kick ass kernelizer" script which claims to 'overclock' tho i have not looked into exactly what it specifically does...

that is the folder needed to run scripts= more performance more speed...
Only thing is, ht it had to be enabled in the kernel as well as the ROM, since you guys are just copying his /system partition, there are no changes being made to the kernel. Someone correct me if I'm wrong :)

There is a way to test it's functionality, I'm looking for a link...
 
Make a text file that says with 'echo hello /sdcard/boot.txt' in it, put it in init.d, and see if you've got boot.txt on your sdcard after a reboot
 
I'm pretty excited to see a Rom finally come to this device, I'm downloading now and will test for a bit. Will update with the results in a few!
 
Anthony062991 people will ask questions that have obvious answers and sometimes ask the most idiotic questions on earth about ROM's Theme's Rooting and other android stuff. You can get mad/annoyed everytime people do these things as just over 3 months ago i was a noob my self asking stupid questions all you have to do is answer the questions no matter how stupid or annoying it is.
 
I'm trying not to give much input on these types of things but I feel like I need to say that I think it would be best to have a moderator's input on the situation. Again, I feel like this isn't my place where I should be speaking in, but I also feel like this would be best.
 
I wasnt questioning the legitimacy of this roms overclock if thats the way it seemed, i was questioning the EFFECTIVNESS of using scripting as a means to OC the cpu. Was not ment to imply that this was a "bogus" overclocked rom.

Anyways, i dont see the point in removing the link. if you choose not to go on that's your choice but to punish the warp community in a whole for a few "noob" questions is a little harsh

I took it down because I need certain files from the system! If you read the op! Why do people jump to conclusions so fast? Can't keep developing on half rom! Your link is to a corrupted system!
 
i read the OP that's why i retracted the statement, and even if it is corrupted testing still needs to be done in-case there are more issues than originally thought. seems to run fine for me so far.....

Edit: What exactly is corrupted about it? Installed and runs fine here Cleared Cache, Factory Reset, Cleared Dalvik. Seems to perform!

basicly bin, etc, lib, usr, and xbin! This is why I was unable to make an actual rom.
 
Im about done with this thread, all this bickering over ppl asking questions serves no purpose and does nothing to further the development of the Warp. There are various levels of experiance, give ppl a break, lets help those who are new, they may go onto greater things. Testing, questions and debate help in the development proccess. And to the OP, your bitching, then asking for help, then bitching again....really? Sorry if its harsh but had to be said.
 
ok lemme say something. i think what we all want from this thread is a ROM that can be provided. i am here to help make that happen by helping him gain the necessary files. can we please not argue about this and let it go? I'm not saying this because i want to backseat mod (which i don't btw), I'm saying this because it discourages me and Anthony to help provide to those who have a negative attitude. I don't get easily bothered by this as I'm a nice person but please, we are doing you all as a community a favor. please try to not argue about it as it just dampers Anthony and the environment because I, like you all, want to see this become a reality. thanks :)
 
im still trying to figure out exactly what was wrong with the files in the first place. I will still continue to run this rom until i get tired of it. i will also look into another attempt at deodexing.

Couldn't agree more. There was no negative intent... But op clearly stated not a dev, work in progress, and need help.... That makes me less than optimistic, but hopeful...

if it was overclocked, apps would reflect it, testing of the whole idea behind 'Work In Progress' I really hope you don't give up at the first sign of criticism... it was meant to be constructive
