It's based on the fantastic Shinjitsu Rom 1.5.1c Beta 2 with completely updated apps(I hate waiting for stuff to update after an install), solid status bar w/clock, and I replaced QuickPic with Gallery ICS. I've also updated the su binary since people were having trouble with that.

The install instructions are the same as the normal ROM so please refer to the first post for that. Go back into CWM and fix permissions (under Advanced) after the first boot to fix the camera. I think that was a bug with his base ROM too but I'm not sure. Anyway, if you guys like this I'll make a proper thread for it and keep updating it. I've tested it several times and it seems to be pretty smooth other than the camera permissions issue, but that's easy to fix.

I too like Gallery ICS and use it as my primary for photos. Just running it as a user app right now until the dust settles with the afterburners running behind everybody since the kernel update LOL
 
Not sure if boosts(well sprints i guess) towers are ****ing up hardcore today or if this rom has problems with sending/receiving texts. All of my incoming texts have been delayed. Sat next to someone, watched them send me one, got it like 30 minutes later. Not acceptable in this day & age. Anybody else having text messaging difficulties?
 
I did last night, got a few texts over an hour later, but been fine all day. The only issue I am having is my wifi just stays on error, but not a big deal for me.

I was having that issue and 3g connection issues but fixed permissions now all good
 
I'm having bluetooth problems. My devices pair up but no connection after so no data pass through. Hope this gets fixed quickly because I live in Cali and our laws suck with regards to hands free
 
The bluetooth is a kernel issue, i haven't been able to figure it out. But i can make a no OC version, it doesn't seem to have the issues.

I was actually going to recommend that very thing. I like the OC Rom, but a non-OC ROM is not a bad idea. I like OCing but to me it isn't a deal breaker when it comes to a ROM. ;)

New launcher is very nice. Very simple, and works nicely.
Temple run actually runs and does not FC. Is very playable.
Battery life is going to be a BITCH. Might need to buy a larger battery :rolleyes:
Theme is cool, definetly going to change it up a bit, I like seeing my bat % in the top bar & having the time/date up there as well.
Boot animation is bland, put in my own. (PC bios boot animation is cool as shit for anyone wondering)
After being on wifi for too long i lose all carrier signals. Turning off wifi, turning on airplane, and turning off airplane fixes this, however this is a royal pain.
Phone is mega fast, menus are buttery smooth.
Will continue to test and update feedback.

Im updating my theme now ( putting the pc bios animation on as well b/c i like it too ;\), lookout w/in the hour for an update.
 
mothballed? lol, i have to rebuild the kernel from source without the OC then compile it with the ramdisk to make a boot.img then zip it with an install script for you guys
 
i just want to say that the more i use this rom the more i like it. you did a great job.what i like most is all the detail. like how the lid opens on the trash can. its the little things that make this rom so good for me.the only thing that i didnt like was the battery bar but i just made my oun theme and have it how i want it .i have run your roms from day one and i will continue to run them with work like this. shin you did a great job keep up the good work.:thumb:

What he said, awesome job, keep it up, let me know when the whole sd ext mounting script is finalized/ whether or not storage should be in sd-ext or /data or /mnt/sd-ext...so we can get full a2sd support ;0

LOL I should have been more clear. I was meaning the bt issue with the oc kernel. Is it being worked on. I wasn't being impatient with the non OC update

When Shinru gets the non-oc ROM completed I'll be running that because I need bluetooth. Sucks to lose OC but oh well, still a badazz ROM nonetheless! I'll be making a blue theme for the non-OC after Shin's done. If anybody wants one let me know.

registered just to say you should do that i dont really **** with the oc its cool to have and all but its not really needed for me and a non-oc kernal would be tight as **** also this is a badass rom i tried the wp7 it was alright but then i got this it kinda blew that shit out of the water i like the bootup speed and all the bloatware removed, it's tight
 
First off shin.... This is the best thing that ever hit the warp. you get major KUDOS!!!! Now for the bugs. Im running woodstocks B08 on my phone. If wifi is on and im connected to usb everything is cool. if not connected to usb i loose 3g. Like another post. enable airplane mode then dissable everything cool. second off took forever to get the gps to come on, finally had to click the switch then reboot for it to connect to use navigation. OK, my wife's phone is a stock B08C that i rooted and put CWM on. your ROM runs awesome on it. only problems with hers is that we found no-matter what if her WiFi is on she looses 3g. I am going to keep oc on mine but will probably use the non oc on hers. she misses the rainbow bar to. how can I put that back on her phone? will I have to use the UOT kitchen everyone is talking about? Again thank-you and KUDOS for the AWESOME work. What you have done with this phone is a work of art. Looking forward to your next piece of art.


Edit: The camera ICS+ that you installed FC's on pan mode. downloaded the one on market works perfect.

P.S. Also wanted to say THANKS for all the help, and Everyone has been very helpful and super courteous. You all have made me feel welcome.
