using the new shinjistu beta 2 oc and everytime i turn on wifi my phones signal drops not just 3g, rootdim is not working either.
yea my signal's gone but my wifi works its kindof irritating hopefully a fix seen still looking at that non-OC kernal idea :p

Is anybody else getting a white box where the "clear" button should be to clear the notifications in the pull down for the notifications? It's an opaque white box and it should say "Clear". The white box is functional to clear the notifications.

got a? so am i supposed to flash this update or do it as a restore?

I used to get confused too until thankfully somebody finally explained it to me a couple of days ago. This, as well as most updates, is an sd zip install (which is the same as theme installs). Only time you do an install from backup is when a developer specifically calls something a nandroid backup and/or provides installation instructions. Hope this clears it up for you.

I would like to test this ROM, could someone direct me to the thread that has Woodstocks nandroid backup to flash my build to B08b...im currently on B08c.

true, but I really like ability to underclock and use an ondemand governor. Used my phone heavily (for me anyway) for over 12 hours without a recharge the other day.

Well we can only hope shin can find a fix for the bluetooth and wifi and i know he will :) good luck shin

Anybody use rootdim prior to and after intermediary update? I no longer have led flashlight and it wont even show up in other lights. I get backlight, red, and green.... thats it. Any suggestions for a fix?

Yeah I lost the led flashlight too after rooting, now all I can use is the screen. I'm still using the stock rom but I am rooted.

I also have noticed RootDim problem, im messing around with other versions to attempt a fix, ALSO, to the person above, IF YOU ARE STUCK IN A BOOTLOOP, then you missed an important step in the ROM installation, When you downgrade to 08b, You MUST do whipe user data/factory reset + whipe cache partition + whipe dalvik, THEN when installing SHIN ROM 1.5b, you must repeat the same process, some people think they just have to clear cache and dalvik but it is not the case, you must do user data/factory reset as well. THEN from there, when installing 1.5c and then the update zips, you ONLY have to whipe cache partition and dalvik.

thats really weird because being rooted allows it more functions. Hey n0ve it worked in the WP7 ROM so perhaps the secret is in there?

Well im thinking dont.hold me to it but the permissions or links that allow led flashflight to work are not there? I have no idea as to why thats like that it could be a kernel problem too has anyone tried using a non oc kernel and using rootdim?

I'm trying to find logic in why OC shuts down bt, light functions, etc. when other phones out there in android land run @ high frequencies in their native state. Everything I learned about electronic principles in the air force just doesn't make sense. I suppose thats why those principles are just theory.

Well its probably because our warps arnt supposed to run any faster then 1.2GHz so the ability of it going over that must be effecting area idk :/

I can see where on the surface it could appear that way but the MSM8655 processor, our particular model of the Snapdragon S2 (Scorpion), is also used in the Thunderbolt and Droid Incredible 2 and they have kernels out that run at 1.8GHz and 2.0GHz stable for up to 20 hours on a single charge. ZTE doesn't have the best of engineers if you ask me and why they recycle codes so horribly. Qualcomm is known for their processors and this is actually a very solid one. Just like cars they are typically under tuned to keep temps low, hence, why people can double their horsepower in the aftermarket world. Our OC from Shinru is definitely proven stable @ the speeds thus far acquired so it's all in the kernel. Now that we finally have a successful source code I'm sure we'll have a badazz phone with OC with NO bugs as soon as Shin and the other geniouses have time to do it. Hell, it's already pretty well polished compared to some ROM's I've seen on other people's "high-end" phones. I for one know that time is the commodity I NEVER have so I definitely understand that patience will prevail for us in the end. We have some very smart people in this community :D and after seeing those other ROM's out there I'd put our guy's above the other guys any day! Right now I'll be sitting patiently for the non-oc update so I can get my stuff back and then I'll wait some more. LOL
