^^^that is exactly true.. any rom you find that's not stock whether it says beta or not IS BETA because it was not made by the manufacturer. However the shinjitsu rom especially beta 3 is the best rom you will find. Shinru Is an excellent developer . This rom is 1 of a kind. I dont know what else to tell u

Yeah beta 3 has been a breeze with almost no problems. The only generic troubles are a bug with wifi/3g switching and not clearing the dalvik cache

The only problem I've had is the darkness issue where the dark gray with black text...Kind of hard for my eyes since they're kinda bad :/

maybe I can get a patch from shin to put in my updater. maybe to allow ppl to chose the text color to white or something unless he changed it

Ok the modified build.prop solved all WiFi/3G switching issues for me. I wonder if this is hardware related or maybe kernel related. If I change the kernel does it change the build.prop info? Almost afraid to do it since this thing is running so smoothly on Shins awesome ROM now but it might be worth a try.

Ok everyone having problems switching between wifi and data and having to reboot due to loosing data. I deleted a couple lines of code from the build.prop and mine switches fine now back and forth, no rebooting!

Im at work and on my phone so what i am gonna do is upload the original build.prop and the modded build.prop so you can compair and see which lines of code i deleted.

Now for the disclaimer: this is what worked on MY phone. So if ur gonna use this make a nandroid! Also backup ur original build.prop. i am in no way responsable!!

Hey I just installed it from the beta 2 then the update and then the beta 3 wiped the div. cache then did a factory reset and all is smooth! Thanks a million this is hands down my favorite rom and it just kills the stock all together!

I can attest, seemingly my Wi-Fi is better as well but that's tbd. Had a bit of a scare, the first time it didn't go through after I applied Wi-Fi but disabled and re-enabled now all is well, thanx. Update, after a test it is better, before I had to aim my phone at the room the routers in now it just works. Thanx again.

Not sure, probably so. It was included with one of the ROMS. I know it's in one of Woddstocks Stock Nandroid flashes.

ES File explorer should work also. It is free.

Root explorer, but es file explorer will do as well with proper settings

I couldn't get es into the root directory. I've tried other methods but I get a permissions error every time.

Im glad that helped. I think the issue for the build.prop fix not working for a couple others (and no offense ment to anyone) is that maybe they dont know the proper way to overwrite their build.prop file with the new one?

ill give it another go once I get to work but this time through adb instead

Yeah how do you overwrite it?

Make a nandroid backup.

Download my moddified build.prop to ur sdcard.

Rename it to build.prop.

Using a root file explorer (like es file manager) copy my build.prop and then go to /system folder in your phones root directory. (Ps make sure your root file manager has root permissions)

Delete your current build.prop file and then copy mine in.

Reboot your phone.

Enjoy.
