i will try to get some work done on this sat. i have to work friday so sat. will be my only chance. 60 hour weeks right now at work..... i will be working 30 hours this week because i started wed.

Glad you got a job, the economy is still crap so its hard for everyone

Ok everyone having problems switching between wifi and data and having to reboot due to loosing data. I deleted a couple lines of code from the build.prop and mine switches fine now back and forth, no rebooting!

Im at work and on my phone so what i am gonna do is upload the original build.prop and the modded build.prop so you can compair and see which lines of code i deleted.

Now for the disclaimer: this is what worked on MY phone. So if ur gonna use this make a nandroid! Also backup ur original build.prop. i am in no way responsable!!

Let me know if this fixes for any of you.

My modded shin beta 3 build.prop

Btw, im not sure which of those lines of code i deleted was the one that fixed it lol. Im at work and was just fooling around deleteing the stuff in the build that i didnt find neccesary. No time to test every line individually.

Edit: i think it may have been the line with wifi channels. It ended with = and then nothing after like it was incomplete?

Edit 2: The quick pannel wifi toggle now works for me also!

Code:
ro.mot.eri.losalert.delay=1000
ro.wifi.channels=
dev.dmm.dpd.trigger_delay=30
persist.cne.loc.policy.op=/system/etc/OperatorPolicy.xml
ro.qualcomm.bluetooth.dun=true

Those appear to be what you removed...

I can't say what they do, as I'm not too sure. I'll google around and see what I find.

Thanks for compairing prinny. Im on a 14 hour shift with no computer. I think its the wifi channel line. It looks incomplete. If i get a chance i will restore original and delete each of those lines individually untill i get the one that fixes.

Ok prinny. I restored shin's original build.prop and just deleted the incomplete wifi channel line and eveything works correctly when switching between wifi and data. Im calling that line of code incompleate and what causes the issue but would like one or more ppl to delete that line, reboot and test to confirm.

glad to have ya active! also I bet you've heard the idea of ota updates. I'm thinking of making an app and repo so ppl like me don't have to completely reflash just apply an update and possible reboot

Value -eu (13) and jp (14) .

tell me what to do and I'll try it while on a break here at work.

Using a root file app go to /system and edit the build.prop. remove the afore mentioned wifi channel comment the reboot and test switching the wifi on and off to see if you loose connection to the internet.

You beat me to it lol. And 11 is the US regulatory domain for wifi. SO you can try adding 11 after the equal sign and test but i see no need for that line in the build.prop so im just deleting it as without it everything works fine for me.

Ok try replacing your build.prop with this one using a root file explorer. It has the wifi line edited out already. Remember to make a backup of ur original build.prop. rename my file to build.prop. reboot after overwriting the file.

man all you guys are amazing im gonna do this right now! but i do want your guys opinion should i just go ahead and load a bo8 rom just because or should i just keep it this way? just like SelfElevated2 said it bo8 might be better.

and its gonna be a little before i flash cause im doing it all through dropbox lol i can put shins rom on my sd card in zip right? i dont have to put in cwm backup?

I'm on bo8c & everything works fine

I can't get it to install it says can't open and then bad in parentheses I've installed all the other roms though. I really wanna try this 1 now wish I could figure it out

What did you do? Delete the line or add 11 the end of the wifi channel line?

I commented it out so it would ignore the line altogether. Same thing as deleting on a linux base. I'll try to add the new modified build.prop here in a min now that i can do it through adb at home

Edit: I'm also on a B08 not B08c

Don't comment it out (i know thats a linux thing but i dont think it applies in the build.prop maybe) try deleting the line altogether.

Hhhmmm:confused: You know i see everyone talking about problems with WIFI but i really havent had much of any....when i turn on WIFI the first time, it doesnt seem to connect, but all i do is switch it off, then back on again and it works fine and when im done i just turn it off and 3g is back up and running with no issues.....:smokingsomb:

Has anyone notices that the Camera app force closes when you try to use the Panaramic feature...has anyone fixed that?

and i do have to agree that some of the fonts are difficult to see even in a well lit room, but all in all i love the rom....no complaints:D
