You can flash the oc kernel now if you want. There is a link on the op.

I am about to make my phone a mean green overclocking machine, with swap :D

Edit : nevermind its not there. I'll post a link

Just save to my SD and Flash, or do I need to clear Dalvic Cache....When ever I switched roms ive always cleared the cache and did a factory wipe seems to give me the best results. Just want to make sure I dont mess anything up.

Wasnt there an issue with the OC kernel?

You should clear both caches and flash.. You don't need to wipe data,!! Yes there are issues with oc.. Bluetooth doesn't like to connect, and you don't get service while wifi is on.. But that's kinda like keeping people from interrupting games or movies anyway.. It's a choice each person must make for themselves :D [ it doesn't bother me

And im pretty sure these problems will be on the beta4 oc kernel as well

it sounds so tempting to have the option to OC as well. Bluetooth i dont care about...I havent used in once in the past 2 or 3 years lol....the wifi may not be that huge of an issue either....its not like i keep wifi on for that long any way....only when im streaming videos, but thats about it. did you already do the OC and swap on yours?

Well unfortunately I must have understood him wrong. Must be saying he's adding it to it.

Yeah I know.. I should have known better because I answered this morning when someone asked .. It's how he said actually it does have swap that got me :(

Look at the screen shot I posted.. I've never seen that before, but I've never tried to use swap w/o a swap kernel either..

I'll try again

Ok its definitely not swap supported the way it is.. Tried 3 more times. I pm'd shinru right after he posted asking him but haven't heard back yet

I will say this though, after using swap for a few weeks now, oc by itself does not make the phone as smooth as swap. It's better than not having either but you can definitely feel the lag of lack of ram. And that's not even gaming..

But put them both together and I bet it will be like a new phone

I enabled swap support when i compiled the kernel, I guess that wasn't enough. I will have to look in the source code and see whats going on and also talk to Downthemachine to see what he did. I will also make my OC files open source for anyone who would like to build an OC kernel and/or try to fix the issues with wifi. I think its a voltage regulation issue.
