I can confirm I was getting the same results as you, Blyss, and 3D gaming seems to freeze up once in a while after a few minutes of gameplay, even though I froze a couple of memory hogging apps

been doing alot of work today. should resolve these issues.

Definitely leave the HW3d on IMO. In the open gl 1.1 tests I capped out at 59.53 fps... on test kernel 3 was getting around 56. Didn't affect the gl 2 tests.


Important: No videos will HW accelerate on this kernel for me

Updating VIDC seems to have broken the HW acceleration for videos entirely? Can anyone confirm?

Tested using Alien Kernel 4 RC 1

Xvid 640x360 rip from own dvd(used to accelerate)
WMV9 1280x720 (never accelerated)

I flashed it last night. I didn't do a clean install and still go a 7990. God's job DM. Mine is running smooth as silk. I can't wait till you get it "just the way you want". Great job brother!

Haven't tried any gaming, but since an update is pending anyway I will wait. Kinda bummed about the gravy situation... seriously ruined my day.
 
Oh forgot to say. I noticed my Wifi latches a LOT quicker now. Like when I got out of my car and was walking up the hill I got a ding sound saying I had a new email. Which means my wifi had latched. It used to latch about 10 seconds after I walked in the house. So this is new. And good!
 
I usually turn my wifi on when I get into the parking lot of my apartment, I usually have to wait to get inside before it latches but now by the time I'm out of the car I already started getting my notifications about Dm having a new year build or something lol
 
Iam noticing Antutu is very inconsistant. anywhere from 4400-6000 ... i dont like that.

try quaderant.. it works well

Alright. Noob question here. Since I'm not into gaming. How can I improve the "overall performance" of my warp? I don't even YouTube that much.

Depends on what you define as performance. For me its less choppiness when I'm about to blow up an alien ship while for others it could be just the launcher not restarting every time you wake the phone. Keeping only a few apps and clearing cache helps.
 
Thanks that's what I wanted to hear. But I swear my 3g and signal is better. ?????? Power. Just went out here (blown transformer). I got no wireless. And I'm getting great signal and 3g, like never before. ????? But I like it! ;)

Huh, I just realized I haven't had an unsent text all day, or a single dropped call despite having very poor signal in my apartment... and pics have been sending and receiving without that annoying red warning triangle coming in.... were there any modifications that involved signal?
 
well, i cant fix the other little random 1 lol. thats in libril.so or the framework. now cm10.. just dont have that issue.
 
I have noticed that when you send a two part message on CM10 that it will fail almost immediately. (not sure if anyone had already said it, but i just wanted to let you know)

I love this project. it has turned my warp into something beautiful and i thank you. just so i can get the full functionality of my phone back i am flashing to Halo Jelly ROM for now. when you have another release i will re-flash to CM10. Can't wait to try out your new kernal though :D

Thank you Dm for all of your hard work. I want to start learning how to do this kind of stuff so that in the future i could possibly help you. but i don't know where to start. any tips?
