Root [CDMA] [ROM] - Evo 3D CDMA - PAC [OFFICIAL]

Can you guys help me? I'm coming from flashing ROMs on Nexuses and other simple devices like that so I think I'm in over my head when trying to flash this ROM on my sister's Evo 3G, and I need help fast!

I followed the instructions here:

I'm still S-ON but I installed 4ext. I flashed this and gapps, but am getting bootloops up the wazoo. I see the beginning of the PAC-MAN going around the maze, then it loops to black and the HTC white screen and repeats the process. Please help... Thank you!
 
I am at work right now so don't have much time here, what HBoot are you one, to flash the Rom you need to be 1.50 or less

I hope you made a Nandroid, so your sister can get on her flight, LOL

What hboot is the phone on? Normally s-off is required for that rom because you have to be downgraded to hboot 1.50 or below. If you are on 1.58 you can only flash the stock based ics roms.

yeah, i think it's on 1.58. So can I get to S-OFF without being about to boot into the system? Is it a procedure from Fastboot/Recovery? How long would it take me? Thanks again.

Me:
It can take awhile. You have to do the wire trick to get s-off and I don't think it will work if you can't boot up. I'd probably run an ruu or flash the stock Rooted Rom for now until you have more time. It takes some research and prep to get s-off. I would just get it running for now and worry about pac when you have the time to do it properly.

The OP does have in big writing does not work on HBoot 1.58, hope his sister didn't miss her flight.
 
Man I really loved flashing these PAC roms. I have moved on to the samsung s4 but just wanted to say thank you guys for all the hours of fun I had rooting my Evo with your help. Thanks again.

5-22 update: Random restart when I load a game using snesdroid...5-18 build didn't have this issue.

HUGE battery lose in the latest build too. I currently reverted back to 5-18 because of this.

Never activated phone since I bought it. No gps or phone comments. I use talkatone for phone/messaging via wifi

Did browse around that "program permissions thing" looked really a some. Didn't fully test it.

fully functional fast. played games lag free

ISSUES:
XDA posted a comment and i am too about a force close on few apps. Poweramp failed to open after install. Ive installed dozens of apps and even emulators with zero issues thus far. only that program failed.

Talkatone user. My phone is a house phone/not activated. Cant comment on gps or 3g.

SUPER GREAT ROM OVERALL best buld to date

Are you rooted? I'm assuming so since you are asking in the root section...

If you are not rooted you can go to settings and clear data for that app and clear your app cache. You can also try to uninstall and re-install the app.

If you are rooted and the above doesn't help, you can boot into recovery and run a fix permissions that might help with the force closing.
 
installed update, cleared cache, app fixed. Not sure if it was just cache clearing or the update, but either way it's fine now. Thanks!
 
Very cool ROM many other phones just missing it. /!\ Question about update for evo V 4g and gsm ?? Do you working on it?...
 
What is the fix for the video's graphical tears? I thought it was just the media players fault? Used VLC media player on my PC and still has lines going through the video! I don't remember seeing this on the last ROM yet I could be wrong? I need %100 good video.

XDA posted a new mod for the camera "here" where the specifications looks much better. Haven't seen if it works for JB. This would be a huge update.
