Is anyone else having problems with sendind just regular texts? My phone stays at the word sending and I am unable to place calls or recieve texts. It is a problem for me tho because on this ROM i am unable to manually update my PRL. Which used to be the regular fix.

sorry... didn't really mean to seem rude... i appreciate all your and other peoples work here... just wanted to know how big the mms bug is.. and to say that taking way to much time (more that 2 weeks) on it would probably not be as productive as starting cm10

i gotcha dude..i dont wanna come across as rude..just wanna make sure everyone is realistic as far as how much work jmz has to put in to these roms..alot of time..we must be patient grasshopper :D
 
Well mms is stumping me and everyone I know. I will never admit defeat to anything as simple as mms. I'm about to start taking my primo rom and start pushing framework and such files until it works. Because mms works perfectly on both my cm9 and cm10 builds

The far fetched answer is since this phone is half sprint it might be doing something diff than any other VM device. But I doubt that one

I assume he was simply asking how long it would take so that he could correctly judge which would be the better option between working MMS and CM10. I don't think it was inappropriate at all.
 
It seems this ROMs voicemail is like the stock one. On all other custom roms I don't get the annoying Persistent voicemail notification since I transferred voicemails from my LG Optimus. But with this ROM I am getting all the notifications again. is there some way for me to break the voicemail by messing with files or by turning off the setting that shows new voice mails? I absolutely hate having the voicemail icon in the corner that I can't clear

lol really? ..his only said statement for two pages that i looked back was "how long does it take to fix mms???"...its hard to tell if that is a simple question as far as whether or not to gear towards cm10 or asking for an eta... now granted it is very easy to mis-understand someone on a forum and his admited intentions a side.. i have seen quite a few ppl post things so far, read it and scratched my head..but anyway my and his points were already established and really dont see much need to continue this debate in a development thread..i was simply reminding ppl to mind their manners and maybe choose words more carefully before they post certain things. pm me if you would like to talk further ;)

One more vote for CM10! I personally couldn't care less about MMS, but if I have a need to use it I have no problem using a third party app.
 
I'm half and half on the mms or cm10 question, it seems every time I switch to a rom with broken mms I get an mms message, but like most have been saying, if you're stumped move on. Maybe playing with cm10 will let you get fresh eyes to come back and fix mms
 
Doesn't the Optimus V have a CM9 ROM with working MMS? So couldn't you just take the setting from that and use that. Would that work? Sorry I know nothing about rom building
 
Its a great rom but it would be nice to finish it with MMS.

Another question is there a way to get the Voicemail app to work correctly with this rom? I get a text message with each voicemail. Would be nice to just get notifications just from the app.
 
I love this rom don't really mind the whole mms thing not working I'm not the sexting type jk don't mean to offend any one but anyways I was wondering if any one could tell me how I can fix the wimax have to restart the phone every time for it to work .. I understood it would fix it if u where to delete a specific file some where ??
 
Found something. Seems I can't get videos to record. I try to press the record button and nothing happens. Am I missing something?
