Hey pg, and penguin...

When you guys are making clockworkmod ports, roms etc... whats kind of info do you always need to look at?

I'm gonna make a data gathering app and web site to get all this kind of stuff and post it to a main server where we can look up devices by model number etc... so we don't have to borrow phones etc... for the simple time consuming stuff. If you have a wish list of data let me know. I want to make what AllData is for mechanics to us android devs/hackers. I have to end this fragmentation once and for all.

So does that mean that once its approved, that we will then later be able to use the Rom Manager app?

need the phone to get the needed info n files ;)

updated to the latest. id suggest a reinstall. and i need someone to be brave and test hardware keys :)

Tested hardware keys and it works without issues on reboot! Currently still testing backup and restore. Will update with results after a few runs.

Thanks guys for taking the time to work on this!!

UPDATE: Found an issue that after navigating around the menu a bit with the softkeys I got a message at the bottom of the screen "Back menu button disabled." which then also resulted in every other press of the softkeys blanking the screen (hardware keys only work for moving up and down list at this point). I haven't been able to replicate the issue so it may have just been a fluke.

I also have been unable to get a complete nandroid backup so far (keeps freezing during the data backup like before). I already cleared the cache and still trying. I'm sure it'll work eventually, but it seems to still not consistently work.

yes thank you shabby and playfulgod for everything you do and i can confirm it works flawlessly and does backups just fine i have done 3 so far and other things, hardware keys work just fine voldwn + power and it comes to screen asking to factory data reset hit power to confirm , this will not do a factory data reset and after hitting power ur in

Still freezing for me after several nandroid backup attempts with the new version. I'll have to wait til later to try any more. Did I install the new version wrong maybe? It usually worked by now. I already had the previous version and installed the new version over the old one. Is there a special upgrade process to follow I missed?

Finally got around to testing it out too and i too can say it works flawlessly! Hard keys work perfect, backing up worked first time through no problem, also tried a restore and that worked to with no issues. Thank you Shabby and Playfulgod for all yalls hard work!

are you using the one click to install? if so that is teh version built by me with the latest stuff, however the version on rom manager is built by koush using my files and may work better

im a little confused how would i update to the newest cwm?

Use cwm Rom Manager.
