Root ClockWorkMod v5.0.2.7 (file system/recovery utility) update 01/12/12 FIXED

Ok so i have already installed the mod, but when i use ODIN to reinstall the files on the phone to completely wipe it. It won't let me put the phone into Download Mode, it goes straight to Clockwork recovery mode... Any Ideas on how to fix this?

how are you trying to get into download mode
 
if your confused download mode is reached by holding power, volume down, and camera buttons at same time for a bit then downloading will appear.. cwm is reached by holding power, volume up button at the same time you will see the recovery screen..

For Recovery only volume up and power button is necessary..also we might want to add that you enter download mode from a powered off phone
 
Any chance of a Mediafire mirror? (it has to be MF or I cant get it due to school blocking stuff and no home internet for now >.>)

did you install the stick.zip? step 1 thru 17 in first post of this thread.

I read this whole thread, my understanding is after I get the GB update I can just odin in CWM 5 and all will be well.? i will be able to root later? seing how there are no themes or ROM's yet.

I press the power button, volume up, and the camera button all at the same time... but still goes into clockwork mod. Even the system update is poping up on my phone and wen i try that it wont even install because of the clockwork mod...

Download mode is Volume DOWN, camera and power
 
All of a sudden I'm having trouble making a backup with CWM. I've been making one every time a make a few changes, and this time it says

The only thing I can think is that I used Titanium Backup Pro to integrate the update for Maps into the ROM. After I did that and couldn't make a CWM backup, I converted Maps to a user app in TBPro, and still have the same error. I have 638MB of free space on the SD card. All my other backups are around 400MB. I'm running GB and DTA2SD with Koumakernel GB0.1. Any suggestions?

you might need to free up some space. I'm just guessing here, but it could be that titanium moves files around uncompressed for a bit. you could be running out of space during the backup even though you would have plenty of space once it was done

Well I got up to 809MB free space and still the same issue. I've been making backups every couple days because of the GB update and getting the phone set up the way I want it, and I've not had any issues until now.

I wish I could be more help, but I really cant tell what is causing the error for you. I always make my own backups using the Odin image packer I made. It only takes about 2:30 to restore a backup by flashing it with Odin, and it's stored on my PC, freeing space on my SDcard for more music and videos :)

Well I appreciate the help you've given me so far. I have tried to use your Odin image packer, but that gives me errors too. I will try that again and if I get more errors I will post them in that thread. Thanks again for your time Kouma.

EDIT: Your Odin image packer worked perfectly for me this time! Thanks for the suggestion Kouma, I couldn't be happier.
 
lOVE THE WORK......bUT SINCE UPDATING 2 OUT OF 10 CALLS THE PERSON ON THE OTHER END CANNOT HEAR ME ON SPEAKER OR HEADSET. ALSO WHEN I INSTALL THE UH EXCUSE ME I CANNOT REMEMBER THE NAME THE NO ROAMING FIX IS A MESS . AS WELL IM NOT RECEIVING CALLS I GET HALF OF A RING NO MISSED CALLS JUST A NEW VOICEMAIL....PLEASE HELP IM STUMPED...

ClockWorkMod would not cause any of those provlems

What exactly do you mean by "UPDATING 2"
