CM 10.1 - Jellybean 4.2.2

Not a rooting question but along the lines...:
What's the best way to ask the Cyanogen developers if they have any plans to try to get T-mobile T.V. to work on their ROM's?
I gotta admit I really miss it.

Not a rooting question but does 4.2.2 give you a time lapse video option in your camera?

I don't see that option in the camera app. Maybe try one from the play store.

You might try posting in this Google+ thread.

Okay. I bummed.
My phone quit working entirely again (can't make calls).
I didn't do anything since yesterday when it was working fine.
So I guess I'm going to go all the way back to the stable 10.0.
But now I have the Cerux kernel installed, which I guess won't work with the stable.
What do I do?

Whenever you install a new version of CM 10.1 it will replace the cerux kernel. Is it still on your phone? Maybe try flashing again. If that doesn't work, try going back to the 0226 nightly.

Well, I nipped it in the bud and reverted back to 4.0.4.
I'll stay here until cm fixes the phone calling issues.

I fixed my calling in call sound issued. I was have problems on nightly 02/24 and the newer builds in march. I tried the cerux kernel with no joy. I saw someone else fix the sound issue and they were on cm 02/26.

I clean flashed 02/26 build with the cerux kernel. Wiped cashed. Davlik and fixed permission. No more phone issues.

I did the same thing and now my phone works great.
Thank you.

Just trying stuff and being observant. I'll stay on this build as its working for me until I get reports on the newer nightlys have resolved the call issues.

btw .. the latest AOKP nightly is 4.2.2 also. You can grab it here and read about it here.

There are also 2 kernels for 4.2.2.

Cerux and All Star Devs

I haven't tried either yet.

So you don't know what, if any, advantages there are to using either of these kernels?
And, my phone is working awesome on cm10.1 (02/26 nightly), so I guess I don't really have a need to flash a different kernel.
But if I do try the Cerux again, and don't like it, how do I flash back to the current (stock) kernel?
Thank you.

I know the Cerux kernel helps with call problems. I haven't tried the other. To go back to the stock kernel just restore a nandroid or flash the nightly again. Whenever I flash a new nightly I also have to flash the Cerux kernel again.

is there a thread for gtalk video calling not working..i looked on both sites but i haven't seen anything...when it opens it freezes 2 seconds later..can someone lead he way please..thanx

I was playing with the Cerux kernel (stayed stable at 1.836 ghz for Antutu tests, though I know the numbers don't mean much) when this red warning appeared:

I assume it's an ad for something and I'm not curious enough to go to the website to see.
I just thought it's kind of silly.

That seems to be a bug in CM 10.1 from what I've read in the thread at XDA.

Yeah it looks like some Chinese site selling something. You can try using AdAway and see if it gets rid of the ads.

Its just a push add. Don't worry. BTW nice score. I'm pushing 10300 :D

I just realized its not a push ad. Antutu is not recognizing the Hercules properly. In the system info its listing our phone as the pedestrian version. 1.2ghz exynos and 4.3 " screen. Its asking to confirm the right version. Nothing to worry about.

Yeah I caught that too.
I tried to run another test and now it thinks I have 4 cores.
Thank you.

Ok is it just me that is having some crazy problems with my phone - like no internet. When I call every person they tell me that I am like calling them from the bottom of the ocean and numerous crashes of the entire system.

Running the latest CM 10.1 nightly with their kernel!

currently restoring back to stock gingerbread to gain the phone functionality back coz I am stuck in a boot loop. Geeeze can't Samsung just release Jellybean and end my misery?

I just updated to the latest also; no problems at all.

I don't really understand how I am the only one that is having huge problem with custom roms.

I actually have huge problems with the stock one now. How the hell is my sd card all of a sudden problematic to be read? WTF is up with these phones that something like external storage can stop working in the middle of a phone call and display some errors while when I plug it into my computer- guess what no problems and absolutely no errors.

Just my frustration. I think I will be walking to T-Mobile today and asking them to take my phone and shove it.

Honestly the most stable thing I ever ran was Android Zombiev4.0... Then went over to Darkside Evolution ICS ROM, which was really nice for a while, but got buggy late last year. Clean installs helped but they became unstable (not unusable but buggy) after a few weeks. Now on CM 10.1 nightly, really nice but buggy as well. FAST, but not as solid as what I had been using. Meh. Right now I just need a phone that works well and gives me good access to both internal and external storage and wont crash the keyboard for an unknown amount of time if I accidentally touch the speech to text button. . That is what I want.

If you were to research you would know a lot of Samsung products are known for unable to read SD cards. ESPECIALLY GSII. Heck it even happened to me.
