CM 10.1 - Jellybean 4.2.2

Thinking about flashing this one. I'm currently running CM10 stable, and I find that for something that is stable, it sure does crash a lot. Only a couple of times a week, but I've never had a ROM crash before CM10 stable.

No, my kids have Nexus 7 and you can set up multiple profiles for different people. I want to be able to do that on my phone too.

10 stable has been crashing from the day I installed it. I don't have a whole lot installed on my phone. I don't know about it being a bad flash - I did darkside superwipe and cache wipe, flashing went smoothly. I'm not finding battery life is all that great either.

Hi dierna. I think there are some hacks for getting multi user to work but its not in settings as far as I can see.

What recovery and android version are you using? It might run better with an updated recovery.

I've seen reports of people experiencing no sound when in a phone call on 0301 nightly. It looks like if you have that problem you need to do a full wipe and clean install instead of a dirty flash (just wiping caches).

I flashed the latest nightly, and all is working, but I can't enable multiple users.

I did a darkside superwipe and cachewipe before installing CM10 stable, so I don't think that was the problem.

I found this, but it doesn't give me enough information for me to do it. All I have experience with is rooting and flashing roms. I have no experience in messing with adb.

I'm frustrated. I would like to be able to create multiple accounts on my phone because my kids sometimes play on it and I'd like to keep my privacy and not have them poking around or using apps they shouldn't.

I did find an app for rooted devices that will do it, but it reboots the phone. I haven't had an opportunity to play with a device with multiple user accounts before, so maybe rebooting the device when switching accounts is normal.

My cm10 stable hasn't never crashed on me. I like it a lot from what I've had. JK6 was my favorite but it does crash too much for me. As for your battery I'm underclocking and also using CPU Sleeper which I highly recommend.

The march nightlies seem to have calling problems for a lot of people, including me. I flashed the cerux kernel and its working perfectly now. The link is in the second post if you want to try it.

I don't know anything about flashing a kernel. I take it you need a PC?

could u let us kno how the cerux kernal is workin for u plz.

Is working fine. No problems. If you want to try over clocking, it will also install an app named kernel tuner. Although if you want to save battery I wouldn't really recommend over clocking.

No, no PC required. I used my phone's browser to download it. Then boot to recovery and just install the zip.

Do I need to just wipe cache or do the factory reset as well?
Thank you.

No need to factory reset or wipe system. I don't think you really need to wipe caches. After I flash a zip TWRP always asks if I want to wipe cache and dalvik. I did and it can't hurt anything to do it.

I was on the Feb 24 nightly with zero issues I tried the cerux kernel no issues except one. Call quality dropped
People have problems hearing me. BTW. I can confirm its butter smooth with both cores clocked to 1.8. For daily use I drop it to stock. Any updates on the call quality issues?

Have you tried the kernel lately? Version 1.42 was released a couple of days ago. I haven't had any call problems, but I don't make a lot of them either. Most people are saying its better than the 10.1 kernel.

Thanks to both of you. I'll try the newer kernel and see if it makes a difference.
