Root CM12.1 UNOFFICIAL RC5

Go to about phone in settings and tap on the build number 7 times to turn on developer options, then go into developer options and turn on root access and advanced reboot. Then if you want to have SuperSU instead of the crappy superuser that cm12.1 comes with download the SuperSU recovery zip from download.chainfire.eu/supersu then flash it through twrp.
 
Figured out my old question. Now was wondering if any of these ROMs were able to figure out WiFi calling?

Usually by the third or fourth ring the "REJECT or ANSWER" will show up in the notification bar. By the next ring it's usually sending to voicemail. thanks for the info and now knowing that im probably just gonna check out all the rom has the offer just to appreciate you devs work and since you say cm12 is more stable more than likely i will definitely switch back over

They are all pretty good. I only really noticed things slowing down when I was playing Need For Speed Most Wanted while connected to the charger.
 
lmao lmao when ever I clicked on AICP Extras and saw the first thing in the list said was Various Shit i laughed my ass off (no pun intended) lol lol it is a great rom and i don't play many high demanding games too often on my phone i usually play them on my tablet and i may stay on this rom longer than I had planned i see why you stayed on this rom you Hroark13 and ethanbanker have made it is really good
i noticed that when I receive a call now i don't get no screen flickering like i was getting on CM12.1 so I'm prally gonna stay on it

The only time it got really glitchy was if I had a lot of stuff running in the background(clearing recent tasks fixed that), or if I was playing a game that stresses the CPU/ram (like need for speed or modern combat) while charging the phone. Other than that it was rock solid.
 
definitely a solid rom :D thank you for telling me your take on it i appreciate your feedback your time and all the work you and all the other devs have put into the ROMs for the zmax and i will continue to keep checking back on the cm12 rom for any new developments and new changes on the rom and people's take on their experience with it
i noticed alot of customizations that usually would require xposed modules aren't necessary for aicp but would be needed for cm12
i am a customization freak and i like to have a lot of room for my apps that's what got me into rooting i don't like to spend a lot of money on a device that I am only allowed 'guest privileges' for and am forced to have bloatware that takes up my devices i like to have 'administrative privileges' for what I pay for and control over my device

i have noticed in rom toolbox the defaulted cpu control for aicp the minimum slider is set at 1190MHZ is this necessary for the rom to function properly or is this a preference to be over clocked am wondering because turning it down maybe easier on the battery life

Alright noob question.... Since I've installed cm my pc no longer recognizes my phone in device manager. I'm trying to mess around with adb (because that's the only way I'll learn). And I cannot install or find the proper drivers for my zmax. Now it shows up as Draconis but no drivers are available. Do I have to do something different? Do I have to flash the original ROM , install the drivers from there and then flash back with my back up? Really tried to do figure this out myself but alas I've given up and returned to where I know someone has the answer. Thanks in advance for any help. You guys are eons ahead of me with this.

Update *Nevermind figured it out lol thanx tho

do not restore data in TWRP from another ROM or older version, the DATA partition has a lot of OS related system stuff in it, use a backup and restore utility like Titanium Backup, to just back up you apps, app data, messages, call log, etc, etc,

If you have sensor issues (the screen goes black when you receive a phone call)
