Root CM7 Nightlies

Any major improvements since build 109? It is starting to get a bit glitchy for me.

I'm on nightly 127 and it is super stable. I experienced glitches/bugs from nightly 108 to 118. Did a full wipe on 119 and have been flashing over since with no probs. 127 is butter. If you want it to be super stable do a full wipe on 127 if you are are willing to set up your settings from scratch.

Dang camera stopped working.

Builds 127 128 129

Edit: returned phone to stock unrooted. saved my nandroids of course and when I got my backup loaded the camera worked. Flashed 130 over my backup and now I'm back where I want to be. Latest nightly with no bugs. Woopie!

what's up to the incredible world? just checking in to see any news on cm7. I flashed uber kingdom to see sense 3.0, although i no longer use the incredible i am going to flash back to cm7. Any new and exciting features with the nightlies that are not on the thunderbolt builds?

Our CM7 can print money. Can your thunderbolt do that?

Maybe a few pages ago I posted that I was getting a lot of FC's when using the stable versions of cm7. Now I just realized something. When I was flashing the cm7 nightlies, I ended up wiping the dalvik cache and cache partition every week. But when I was using the stable versions, I didn't do any wipes for months.

So maybe a wipe a week will keep the FC's away.

Also, blkbeltkid17, I'm so jealous, I wish I could upgrade to Inc2. I hear good things about it. Especially the battery life. I hate having to turn off so many features of my phone just so it will last a day. It's like I only have a smart phone for only 20% of the time.

Yeah and the inc 2 is amazing on bart life and now that we have perma root this thing is blazing fast

My cam wont work. Worked fine til 2p today. Was on 136 till then. Stopped working while still on 136. Flashed 139 to see if it would work and no go. Last time this happened I had to unroot and flash stock recovery. Yes I tried wiping everything and reloading the rom and other roms last time before deciding to get drastic. I mean, I was able to reroot and push recovery using unrevoked and flash my backup to finally get the cam to work but I don't want to do that again. Seems like the camera breaks every 5 Nightlies. I always wipe cache and dalvik, always, between Nightlies and I'm wondering if that just doesn't cut it anymore? Any help would be appreciated so I dont have to spend an hour ignoring my wife to fix a phone that I'm supposed to have made better using these wonderful tools. By the way, I'm not mad at the devs or anyone so I'm sorry if I sound like a punk or a something like that. Guess it got to me today cos I was trying to record my 8 month old son only to be blindsided by a borked cam that only yesterday was working (with no flashes in between). Thank you all for listening and if anyone has anything to offer I am all ears. Jmar

dang man i have truly never herd of this one man and i know i dont have problem with the inc 2 nightlies this might be something that you wanna take over to xda and post it there and see what the developers say man

I've never heard of that issue either. Been running nightly 127 for a long time now, and I haven't experienced it. You said you are wiping cache and dalvik; what about data?

A data wipe hasn't fixed it either. The last time this happened I hasld to unroot and flash stock everything through hboot. I was able to reroot and get my setup back with the camera working from the moment I fully restored stock everything. Even getting back cyanogenmod I still had a fully functioning camera but after flashing up to 140 now it is not working again. I know in the past the camera would break in one nightly but be fine after flashing the next. Still perplexed.

i was talking to a developer over at xda about this and he thinks its an Phone problem or a phone memory problem and suggest you back up your EMMC on your computer then go through your settings and wipe the phone storage (format your internal memory) when that is done wipe EVERYTHING through CMR (data, cach, bat stats, fix premmssions) then WIPE data again and then re flash CM and if that fixes then restore your EMMC form your computer...
of all that does not work then you may have to unroot and then go through that process again unfortunately...

and after all that if it still aint fixed then its your phone lol

Ill give this a go asap. Thank you.

I use amonra recovery btw

i just asked again and that may be a problem he was saying CM7 and CMR go hand in hand if you know what i mean but yeah man give that a try and let me know how it works out man

Interesting. I really don't like the interface of cwm and its various issues. I came from an LG ally with amonra recovery and I'm just so comfortable with it that cwm feels clunky. But I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks again.
