Root CM7 Random Issue Thread

i installd the rom whot rom menneger
but when i try to boot the phone it doesn't load i see only the screen of my carier
i had this instald on my phone (search in youtube

I just came across new Gapps 08282011 should I update them and flash over the 07252011 ones whats the difference?
 
My friend has ROM Manager and said they are posted in ROM Manager also since the update yesterday.

Edit- I tried to flash these and it gives me an error with (status 0)

Edit Edit- Downloaded ROM Manager again and tried thru there and it still aborted the install.
 
I pull out the update-binary file in META-INF/com/google/android/ in the gapps and replaced it with the update-binary file thats in the same spot in BobZ's 7.1 build and they flashed! Everything seems the same so Im not sure if it worked but they flashed. Ahaha How will I know if they really flashed?


Holy hell I think it did work. Ahaha My Market is now the same version 3.1.3 that it says in the link above. Ahahaha Nice! If anyone else wants to upgrade the gapps and gets an error with (status 0) you now know what to do!

Do you see a difference in anything? It's just the new market, right?

Uhh I dont see really a difference in anything. But then again I hardly ever use the Market on my phone. I usually do it all from the computer because its quicker. It may have changed a little bit Im not quite sure to be honest. Ahaha
 
Is there a way to fix this problem? I upgraded from Cm6, and everything was working good. Now I have CM7 and the earphones won't work, while I'm talking to someone. It works while listening to music tho. Help?

this has been a known bug in cm7 since it was ported, and some have found away around it, but there's really no perm fix for it.

if you leave you earpiece on the phone & reboot it would work but if you take them off it will stop working. that is why i brought a bluetooth.
 
I use Stereo Bluetooth for music and conversation on the phone, and they do a wonderful job.
 
Im a metro user with cm7.1 bobz latest build and playfuls latest cm7.2 n i cant get mms to work with either of them ive reflashed twice installed metro off several times have done a few full wipes. Can anybody help
 
also reboot the phone a couple of times, but try refreshing your signal by dailing 228 option5 than option 1 or go to settings and enable airplane mode for a minute or 2.
 
Anyone have any success adding an O/C kernel to CM7 07282011 & if so,which one?
I'm gonna give it one more try if one of the O/C's works well w/this build.

I tried both on CM7.2 07282011 And both on BobZ's 07082011 729 build and my phone HATED it everytime I tried. Only person that Ive come across to be able to run it is PG.

I did that still won't work. Reinstall metro off 1.3 a few times still nothing. does anybody know the mms port?
 
How do I get rid of the boot sound on CM7.2-Ascend-07282011 completely? Or at least silence it? I don't want to change the animation just the sound where it says "Droid".
 
you will need Root Explorer (from the Market).
with it you can move remove or change the audio, i believe you cannot mute it. but i'm pretty sure you would need Root Exp. to access it...
