Root condemned cm7

I recommend a full wipe with this update. If you try a dalvik only wipe don't report problems without a full wipe and reflash first... that will be the first question ;).

Install maps from market again. New update has been working fine again. Still no need to flash gapps

Mostly CM bug fixes and framework fixes this time. New maps is working fine so far. This is 2.3.5 instead of 2.3.4 I do suggest a full wipe...

Edit: They are on their way to the box as well ;)

I'll check soon as I can but I'm pretty sure it should be there...

You may be right. I'm thinking I may have jumped to conclussions too quickly...

I'm having issues with some of the programs that log in with my gmail account. They're not loading properly and the phone keeps crashing and rebooting. And, yes, I did do a factory reset. Maybe I'll just have to redo it all over again and hope it works.

By the way, when's the best time to let it load the programs it says it will only try to do once (i.e. Maps, Facebook, etc.?) (And is that part of gapps?)

Id try a new dl or verify the md5 as well. I personally skip that and connect to WiFi first but you can do it anytime you have a data connection. If market is there then gapps is. Market is in gapps.

What's the easiest way to verify the md5?

md5 for S2H should be cb8f21fbd8666c0d9b3385825fdfad38
md5 for vanilla should be dc5a7dc674266bf8d5ae9de0e129f901

I like Scary Alien's app to get the md5 of the zip on your sd card which you can get here https://market.android.com/details?id=sa.afv&feature=search_result

If you are using linux you can open terminal, navigate to where the zip is on your hard drive and type md5sum <filename> but I suggest checking it on your sdcard with Sacry's app to make sure that the file was fully and properly moved to your card.

You just had to put '666' into it, didn't you?!!

Is everyone still using Cache2cache? That wouldn't be causing problems with this ROM, would it?

As far as I know people are still using it. I know it was mentioned before that get better results by flashing it after they setup the ROM. I haven't used it in a while myself though and since setting the Eris up for my wife I don't install it for her either.

I cannot use a GB ROM without cache2cache. It's working 100% just fine.

That said, I'm on V15 right now. I'll try the new one maybe sometime next week. Part of me wants just to stick with what I've got, though...

I tried a fresh wipe with a new download and it's running really well so far! :)

I've been having issues after not doing a full wipe for a while. I know it's not the ROM, so I'll definitely be flashing v16 completely fresh, but probably not until Sunday night. It's been weird, the only thing I've flashed lately was my mom's g tablet when it first arrived.

HELP!!!

Everything was working fine until I rebooted my phone. Now, as soon as it's done booting, it will go straight to the Cyanogenmod boot animation and boot back up, only to go back to the CM screen again, over and over in an endless boot loop.

That was the same problem I was having at first before I redid everything from scratch. Now it's doing it again. I already tried clearing the Dalvik cache but it didn't help.

What causes it and how do I stop it?!

This time, I'm going to try restoring apps without data just in case that's what causes it. It happens after restoring with a Titanium Backup, if I reboot.

Is that after they install all the apps or before?
