HELP!!!

Everything was working fine until I rebooted my phone. Now, as soon as it's done booting, it will go straight to the Cyanogenmod boot animation and boot back up, only to go back to the CM screen again, over and over in an endless boot loop.

That was the same problem I was having at first before I redid everything from scratch. Now it's doing it again. I already tried clearing the Dalvik cache but it didn't help.

What causes it and how do I stop it?!

Are you restoring any system/app data with TB?

Are you restoring any system/app data with TB?

I'm not restoring any system files but I am restoring the apps with data using TB. Is that a problem?

I get it all restored and it runs like a dream until I reset the phone. At that point, it goes into the vicious boot cycle. One error that has come up is "Process System is not responding." That's one I hadn't seen before and I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

I've been systematically deleting apps, thinking that maybe I have too many and that it may be the cause but it's a slow process because I can only delete one at a time, if I'm lucky, before it reboots itself and, so far, it doesn't seem to be helping and I've got fewer on there now, after uninstalling several random apps, than I have had in a really long time. I just don't know what else to try.

I'd be fine if I never rebooted but, obviously, that's not possible.

Restoring user apps with data should not be causing a problem. I restore mine the same way I believe. What I do is let market restore all the apps then I go into tb and use that only to restore the data for the apps. I'm not really sure yet what could be causing your problem but I'm looking into it. I really don't think its an oc issue based on what I remember you saying before on your CPU settings so I'm not even considering that as a question at this point.

The market hasn't attempted to restore all my apps. I'm probably going to try again without the data, since I'm not sure what else to try. Is it possible that the app data could be causing the issue?

It's definitely not an OC issue. I'm using default settings for now, at least until I get it figured out. Besides, I used to set it to 710.

Have you done a reboot without moving them to SD or with only moving a few of them?

Yes. This time, I did a factory reset, restored the apps (without data this time) with TB, rebooted to test it, then moved most of them to SD, rebooted to test it, and then installed Launcher Pro, set it to always use Launcher Pro as home by checking the box, rebooted, and had the problem all over again.

The strange part is that, between reboots, I managed to uninstall Launcher Pro but it's still stuck in the loop. I don't understand and I'm getting to the point of wanting to throw my phone.

Is anyone else using Launcher Pro with V16?

I don't use LP myself.. I believe metlcat is a LP fan though.. The issue doesn't start until you install LP though? I wouldn't think LP would cause that? :confused:But then it continued after unistalling LP? Between this and a few people having nav issues and others not having any issues I'm trying to figure out where to start.. It's hard to decide when things are so isolated and not happening for me. I'm gonna go grab the Eris from my wifes stand for a few minutes and try messing with it some with LP and see if it'll give me the same results.:(

For what it's worth, I currently have 949 contacts on my phone and about 90 apps, which I send mainly to the SD card. I also use XTRCache2Cache and Launcher Pro.

I'm running launcherpro on v16, but I haven't rebooted yet. I'll do it now and see if I have any problems.

Edit: So far, so good after a restart. I did lose a few widgets on reboot, and when I first unlocked the phone launcherpro was unresponsive, but I might not have given it enough time to load.

How are you moving them to the SD card? With tib or through setting /apps /manage apps? Maybe something has gotten corrupt in the Android secure folder... Have you tried removing it so it can be rebuilt? Just putting out some thoughts still

I've done it both ways. I've also been removing the Android secure folder the last several times.

Why would it matter when cache2cache is flashed?

I used to have problems when I flashed cache2cache before installing any apps. I stopped having those problems after I installed at least one app, then went back and flashed cache2cache. Therefore, that's the way that I always do it.

I've got some good news... I redid it yet again. Only, this time, I only restored the bare necessities. It's working at least as well as it ever has. Apparently, my theory about having too many apps installed must have something, if not everything, to do with it after all.

I'll gradually add some more as time goes on but, in the meantime, I'm enjoying a smooth ROM again! :)

Glad to hear its somewhat under control now... Sorry you were having issues though. Just to let you guys know I'm gonna be putting maps 5.2 back in the Rom next update. The new maps is apparently giving some people issues with Nav still.

Why don't I see vibrate as an option for the ringtone? I've moved over from KayosFroyo. On that ROM I could press the volume rocker all the way down and choose vibrate for the ringtone. Can't seem to figure out a way to do it in Condemned. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

On the lock screen, grab the speaker icon and slide it to the left. Alternatively, you can drag the status bar down and cycle through the ringer options in the upper right hand corner. I hope that helps.

Thanks, I'll check your way out. I also found it under Settings-Sounds. For Vibrate, I changed the setting to "Only in Silent mode". That seems to have done the trick too. Thanks again!

Dalvik wipe only should be fine if coming from V16, otherwise I recommend a full wipe with this update. If you try a dalvik only wipe don't report problems without a full wipe and reflash first... that will be the first question ;).

This version includes maps 5.2. If you update maps Nav may not work. Be sure to turn auto-update of maps off in Market. Still no need to flash gapps

CyanogenMod merged Changelog

Condemned CM7 V17 - Vanilla

Condemned CM7 V17 - Stripped 2 Hell - This version has a lot removed from it such as foreign fonts, over half of the ringtones, DPSManager, CM Wallpapers, and a lot of other things.

File sizes and md5sums are listed on the download page as well for those that use them :)

I'm getting an immediate force close from Maps now. I haven't updated it, either.

Edit: Never mind. I went in and cleared the data for Maps in the Applications Management and it fixed it.

:( It went fine on mine... I don't get it.. this maps/nav thing is really getting to me now. I'll check some things over again and look through the script soon as I can. Until then try either fix permissions in ROM manager or fix uid mismatches in recovery. It's probably something stupid that I did.
