Root condemned cm7

yeah my screen was always real dark on xtrRCMix,it was pretty irritating. :mad: maybe our fearless leader CS can figure out the call thing for you... he seems to have whipped alot of other issues into shape that folks were haivng.

on the phones,the incredible 2 seems like a good bet if you need a world phone,and dont need 4g or a dual core processor. i am pretty biased at this point towards htc,i wouldnt even consider a droid 2 due to its encrypted bootloader and stupid motoblurr(you think you dont like sense,lol...) and im not familiar with any other global phones they have right now. if you can hang on long enuff,maybe well get a dual core sensation-like phone at some point :cool: start keeping your eye on craiglist for a used incredible 1. until you start traveling i think youd be really happy with one of those :)

I'm going to see what I can do... I've noticed V6 has the incoming call lag again now so I'm going to go through and see if it was something I messed up or if it's maybe a CM thing... or if I can at least get it improved a little bit again... I'm hoping to be posting an update with a few other changes as well but I want to try and do something with the incoming calls before I post it... Hopefully it will be in the next day or 2... I'll have to see how much I can squeeze in.. Gotta leave the house at 3 tomorrow morning and don't expect to be home much before 6 tomorrow evening :eek:

No rush on my account, but that will be beautiful. Perhaps I should just go back to version 5, though? That had incoming calls working ok?

V5 had better incoming call response. Correct. I did change a couple of things between 5 and 6 besides the update to 7.1 so I'm going to try adjusting those and see if it was one of those that dropped it off. It shouldn't have been but I still want to check.
 
One thing that I would LOVE to see working right is the e-mail push (exchange) for the e-mail app. I use Live Office Exchange for work and have my emails pushed to my phone but it doesn't always push them when it's supposed to. I hope that's something you can do on your end.

I saw these posted recently in the GSB thread on xda. This issue is apparently a CM7 bug, and CM7 should be working on it.

I don't use Exchange email myself (well, not on Android; I use it to connect to Google mail, calendar and contacts on my iPod Touch ;) ), but I knew I saw something about this in the last few days.

Nope. There isn't even a layer for that. Also, the changing of the perspective to first person only works for your current position, which makes sense, if you think about it.
 
Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm working on a few different things right now for an update but I don't know how much I'll get accomplished tonight. Trying to keep my eyes open as long as I can because it's too early to go to bed... Criminal Minds is getting ready to come on... can't sleep through that :D lol. I'm going through some things in the links doogald posted on the exchange issues and testing some other little tweaks as well so we'll see how they go. I haven't heard any negative feedback on the LauncherPro thing so I'm going to add that to the update also. I can't say for sure that I'll have it done tomorrow but if not it will definitely be ready friday sometime. :)

There will also be a Ghost Rider Edition of the update but might be a little bit behind the stock update ;)
 
If someone has the app speed test can you do me a favor and run it while on 3g and let me know your results? I want to do a quick mental comparison. Lol
 
I've been noticing that my gmail hasn't been syncing like it should lately. Maybe you could look into it while you're at it...

I'll look into it. What kind of things are you seeing with it? Not everything coming through? Getting them late? I personally haven't seen anything strange with mine and I'm using the 3/7 gapps.. Which gapps are you using?
 
I have V7 flashed and will be testing it today. Seems like I got the incoming call response back to what it was on V5 now so far after calling it from the house phone a couple of times. I also have the launcherpro fix built into the rom now. I'm going to run it today and see how it goes and if all seems well I'll post it this evening when I get home :) Hopefully if things go well and I get a chance to mess with it tonight I'll be able to post GRE either later tonight or tomorrow evening as well :p

It's just not being pushed through right away like it used to. It comes through just fine when I do a manual refresh but I shouldn't have to do that.

I'm actually using the newer gapps from the GSB site. Everything seems great with it but now I wonder if that's what's causing the gmail push to fail... Now it's acting a lot like the bug in the exchange email.

I flashed the newer gapps with the V7 update to try them out too so I'll be sure to pay attention to my Gmail today. I hadn't noticed anything off with it on the 3/7 gapps on mine...

im still on stripped. lookin forward to some updates there(tho it doesnt seem to need much) :)
 
I'm changing the default wallpaper in v7 too. I found one I like a lot better :)

Don't worry Scotty. Its not like the one in the stripped version. Lol
