Awesome! Thanks for continuing to post these updates...(and now, since I posted here, I won't have to keep hitting F5 so often).

Exactly. It sounds like there's a personal beef there too, but that's none of my business. I'll use whatever works best on my phone.
Honestly, if I can get stock Froyo onto my X, I'll donate a pile of cash to whoever makes it happen. I don't care who it is.![]()
How exactly does one capitalize on something that hasn't been released?
Koush isn't my favorite person (how could he be I don't know him) but its not like he doesn't have the credentials for doing this, I mean he made, arguably the most popular recovery software out for Android, and accompanying app.
He's taking the process which Bird and Rain spent sleepless days and nights on and trying to push something out before them...
Who cares about this shit, where are the final results!?@!?
Here's the latest -

Droid X Recovery Bootstrap app is ready to release... gonna do that after dinner.
P3Droid also had a post up on Twitter asking for features that people would want to see on the X. Looks like our hopes and dreams are finally answered.
Like I said earlier, I could give a damn about the politics. We're all part of one, big, somewhat-happy community. No more infighting, let's just support each other and make sure we're able to do what we want with our hardware.

Noob question... so exactly what are we gonna be able to do with a bootstrap loader?
Are their only roms ready to run on the Droid X once we get the bootstrap loader?
X owners what do u want most. Let me know and see what happens in next 5 days.

A ROM is basically a fully functioning OS, that's the best way to describe it. The benefits of loading a custom ROM are endless.
Basically, provided a developer can make use of the Droid X Drivers, they can compile a new operating system based on the Android Source and make it work with the Droid X. So, potentially, you are looking at limitless options as far as the OS.
That's ROMs, in a nutshell. I figured I would jump in before someone told you that you should run a search.
Go over to Droid-life.com. They have a few profiles of ROM developers, and they normally cover different releases, so you can get an idea for what is out there, and what might be coming to the X.
Droider, true. I was jumping the gun a bit.
On a side note, I will be happier than a pig in sh*t if Koush ports Cyanogen over to the X.
I actually switched back to my D1 for a while so I could use Froyo. Sadly, I missed the speed of the X.
Also, ChevyNo1 and Jrummy compile their ROMs from source
I already know the first two things I'm going to test once I get my nandroid made:
JIT and custom fonts.
