also when the mobile share installed those drivers ..only thru the mobile share app I was able to utilize the mtp file transfer option.

wondering if being on sp3 has anything to do with it?

not sure which zte drivers would work on windows xp. oddly enough my lg g stylo connected via usb updated to MM 6.0 shows mtp.. this zmax on custom ROMs has been my issue..
stock works only for both phones..

have you tried flashing stock, installing drivers from the phone installer option and then flashing custom rom?

XP is just kinda dumb about drivers, but once you get it right itll prolly work forever.

also maybe find some generic android device mtp drivers to see if thatll work?

one thing you can try that i had success with in the past with XP...

i used to 'trick' the system in certain ways. this involved letting the driver install/uninstall while plugging/unplugging the device at the same time. this seemed to force the system to discard the wrong driver or install the correct driver alongside the other one it keeps installing. it basically involves fooling windows into seeing the phone as something else because it will still see the ZTE 3g as being connected and force the system to recognize a 'new' device.

hard to explain, but basically just go crazy with it. nothing to lose there.

ill be happy to answer other questions you may have but i cant be responsible for the whole process. if your phone were to break i would be partially responsible. just know that you need an older modem for any custom ROM to work correctly.

Haha some people just can't seem to read and follow directions, or just don't want to read. In either case, these people have no business rooting a phone or flashing ROMs.

As much as it pisses me off though, I still try to help these people most of the time because too many zmax phones have already bit the dust and it's not the phone's fault that it has an idiot for an owner.

Now that the system write protection can be turned off, the zmax is the best budget phone for metro/T-Mobile as far as development goes, which is why it pains me to see these phones getting bricked almost every day.

bla bla i tried on another zmax and everything works like a charm.Masterchief87 ,I'm not idiot.i istalled many custom roms before, and i'm not new in this domain:mad:.As a futur developper,you miss me some respect .May be i'm not experimented as you are but i'm not stupid,and one more thing i'm fifteen.

First, I didn't call you an idiot or say anything about you at all. Second, when you are trying to convince someone that you are not an idiot, it helps to be able to use proper grammar. Things like spelling, capitalization, and punctuation are very important in situations like this.

No one is trying to make you feel stupid, but you ARE going to need to do a lot more reading before you should do any more flashing. And you ARE new to this forum. just because you have browsed before does not make you part of the community. When this conversation started you had 2 posts to your name, so please dont waste your time talking about being a 'future' developer. So far you have contributed nothing. Masterchief87 has helped me out personally in more than one forum for years now.
