I've got this installed and everything is working well. I miss being able to change my fonts as I did in Jrummy's Kangerade.

The big issue though is that I can't get Pure Calendar Widget back on. I use this a lot, but it is not showing up in the market for me. I emailed the developer and he said I needed to contact google or the developer of the ROM.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Apps missing from the market is going to be an issue with any FroYo ROM probably until it is officially released. Do a search for market fix.

Suggested Tweaks for Cyanogenmod 6

For CM, there are two places to make tweaks, in the CM settings and Launcherpro (if that

my droid performed very poorly with even this release so i revert back to another rom. I think i learned my lesson that CM dont work very well on my phone. Installed 3 kernels, 2 failed to work and one had choppy performance.

Also I noticed stock superuser is slow to grant permission after turning the screen on. Does using the last version of SU fix it?

Edit:
Also, how does one delete apps like amazon mp3?

1) I strongly recommend that anyone running CM6 also flash the 2.1 SU app over the 2.2. 2.2 does not play well with some and I've also noticed that it runs slow. There is a link to it either in this thread or the CM6 RC1 thread here.

2) You can delete apps in system/apps by using Titanium Backup found in market. Just scroll down to the app, press it, and hit uninstall.

The other drawback is that I cannot use the 3-D App Drawer option in LauncherPro without things being too unstable... not all apps will load; several, in fact are missing when I enable the 3-D option. As long as I disable the 3-D option, I can set the open speed for the drawer to 10 and all is well.
Weird, I've only used the 3d app drawer and have had no issues with disappearing apps or lag. My drawer open speed is also set to 4 instead of 10, that may have an impact. I did wipe before flashing RC1, then applied RC2 over RC1 as an update.

SoDroid, I meant to post this earlier... I made all the tweaks you suggested in your earlier post, and I'm proud to say I no longer have that problem with the 3-D App Drawer. I don't know which of those tweaks corrected that particular problem, but what you suggested definitely made my 3-D drawer so stable that I can set the open speed to a full-tilt *10* with complete stability.

so does ADW.. and ADW also has a secondary tray panel feature to allow for even more..

On Launcher Pro you have the 4 on the home screen and then it has 2 secondary trays that you swipe over for this makes a total of 14 app docks.

While I certainly do very little to conserve battery, my experience with RC1 and RC2 is that they consume more power than do most if not all other ROMs. I don't change my consumption patterns at all regardless of what ROM I use, and my batteries deplete much faster with CyanogenMod.

However, this is only one of two disadvantages I've run into with Cyanogen.

I really like Cyanogen, but his roms do the samething for me. I can get about 2 or 3 more hrs of runtime from BB than i can Cyan. I really like cyanogen, but until his roms can meet BB in battery, i guess they will just continue to sit on the sideline for me. Now, i ran a version of birdmans rom #6 something, and it was even steven with BB for me. I liked birdmans rom because it didn't have the maps error that all the other roms ive tried did.

Great! I'm glad to hear it. CM6 is really a great rom, but you have to change the settings first, especially those in red. Now if CM6 had a little better battery life, it would be my #1 rom choice. I think BB edges it out; I'd say BB 0.4 gave me an extra 2 hours of battery life.

After flashing this I cannot reboot into recover at all, can anyone help me?

thats an issue with recovery not the rom. Just go into Rom manager flash either SPRecovery or an older Clockwork recovery then flash back to the current Clockwork recovery it should fix your issue

To be able to see all apps in the market run this market fix made by bgill

Market update fix for Froyo leaked version 2 - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

**REMINDER** This will 'trick' the market to show that you are running 2.1, because not all apps will show while running 2.2 ROMS (this is an app dev issues not ROM). However, there is a reason such ROMs will not show, because a lot of times they are not working properly and need to be updated for froyo

To everyone that is having battery life issues, have you tried jdflg's kernels (available in ROM manager) that are made specifically for CM6? I have used chevys and p3s with CM and had less than normally battery life but with jdflg's it is much better.

I tried the jdflg kernel and got less than half the battery life i got from the Chevy ULV 1ghz kernel.

Well I'm giving jdflg's 1.2 kernel a shot since I started having terrible battery life lately running Chevy's (not blaming his kernel, just trying a different one). Hopefully, things get better :o

Definitely try different kernels as their effectiveness varies per Droid. I tried the jdlfg for CM first, then chevy 1.2ulv and get better battery with the Chevy.

So, is their a working Droid X theme for this yet?

I do not believe there is a DROID X theme ported to RC2 yet. I think Fabolous was doing the porting for DROID X theme but I think he dumped the theme and just got a DROID X instead  (Hope its tight! I haven't seen one in person yet)

I'm sure someone will start porting it soon, but I haven't seen anyone else do it yet.

Stupid question. I wiped and installed RC2 and wasnt taken to the account setup. I went into Accounts and hit Add but only Corporate and Facebook are listed. I must be missing something.

Hmm, I haven't heard of that happening. I would reflash it. If you still have a problem after reflashing, I would re-download the file then reflash it. Its possible that there is a problem with the file you downloaded.

sounds like you didnt install gapps

I installed this just now.. I was planning on keeping it around for a few days to do a ROM review. Can't do it. 933 Quadrant score with Chevy's 1100. Way too slow for me.

While i do agree that is a low score. you could try a different kernel. i never test quadrant scores i just go by what feels fast and runs smooth.

Well, to be fair, it did feel much slower than what I'm used to in normal use. That's why I ran Quadrant. I've used the Chevy 1100 kernel with various other 2.2 ROMs and usually pull between 1300-1500 depending on the ROM. This was quite a drastic difference for me.

I think I'm going to go back to the stock de-odexed FRG01 for now so I can use the DarkEdge theme. I like it way too much.
