CyanogenMod-6 for Hero V6.0.0 - RC1

My video camera is set at a very low resolution, the other settings are grayed out. Is anyone else having the same problem?

What version of the CM6 are you running, RC1 or a nightly?

I'm running the 915 nightly and I don't have any issues with the video camera
 
really though, CM6 is awesome and all and I would still be running it if not for one thing... I had used Darchdroid 2.7-8 prior to CM6 and have always used Launcherpro on aosp roms and using the exact same settings under LP on both Darch and CM6, everything runs way smoother on Darch. Apps still open faster and performance is overall better on CM6 but like I said, looks better and runs smoother on Darchdroid... I really want to use CM6 but the fact that LP runs ragged on it in comparison to other aosp roms just irritates me and makes me wanna hold off. I really hope they iron everything out soon though so I can run it and hopefully it will run as smoothly as it does on Darchdroid.

I wouldn't give up Launcher Pro for anything. But I disagree about CM6. I just came over from Darch 2.7 about 4 days ago, and this thing is flying! I did, of course, overclock and I'm running JIT. How long ago did you try CM? I'm on the 9/12 nightly.
 
Does anybody know if Sprint TV is working on CM6 yet? I've grown tired to flashing back to 2.1 to watch my highlights in the morning

I've compared the same Launcherpro setup on RC1 and some nightly around 8/20ish to the exact same setup on Darchdroid 2.8 and it always runs rediculously smooth on Darch compared to CM6. I'm not saying it runs bad on CM6 but the way it runs on Darch makes the way it look on CM6 LOOK bad by comparison lol, it's rediculously smooth. I can fling my finger as hard through the app drawer as I can (3d drawer too) and it looks like the smoothest animation I've ever seen on any phone.

The average for me is usually around one and a half, and MAYBE two days though with heavier use than what I mentioned above. I have always been quite pleased with my handset's battery life and I imagine once it is rooted, it will be even better if I set it to underclock when it is asleep.

yes, im using #13 uncapped, & it was nightly 9/13 that made my battery drain, running nightly 9/15 & its fine now

when i installed launcher pro (w/ ADW still installed), it made my phone lag bad too, & it lagged even worse when i sped up the settings in launcher pro

Edit: not even the iPhone 4 (they claim it's one of the best batteries right now) can last 3 days and i know our crappy batteries can't last that long UNLESS you have the ABOVE SETTINGS!! even then you probably wouldn't get 3 days!!

im not exaggerating, sometimes i can get 3 days.
i did have 7 screens, but went to 3 screens.
far left screen has my sprint tv widget & apps widget on it, home screen has beautiful weather/clock widget (w/ full animations), AWD has 5 apps, swipe up/dock bar has 10 apps, right screen has 5 widgets.

but im always killing/force closing (froyo needs to be forced closed, not killed) my apps.

i am also running a uncapped kernel, overclocked to min:246, max:710 while screen on, & min:192, max:246 while screen is off

phone goes into sleep mode at night

im running cm6/nightly 915 w/ adw, uncapped & overclocked, & it runs like a beast, super fast swiping from screen to screen, app loading, etc.

tryed launcher pro (looks better), but made phone lag
 
joehunni, so you are in the same situation as me i guess? i ran RC1 as well as a few nightlies and i also use Launcher Pro instead of ADW and after a half a day or so the phone starts to lag like shit right? I had to switch back to DDv2.8! damn i wish i could have stayed with CM6 but i couldn't stand it. someone up top said that if you have both launcher pro and ADW installed it will lag...can someone else confirm this?
 
I use Launcher Pro and have no lag at all. I don't think I could use anything but. Been running it on RC1 for a couple weeks now and am now on the 9/15 nightly w/#14 uncapped.
 
I had to reload setcpu and now i cant go above 512. any ideas? Im not running an unkapped, but i had it working yesterday at 691, so i know thats not the issue. any ideas? running the latest update of setcpu (2.0.3)

i need help, im having problems sending text messages. i rooted my cdma hero and put android 2.2 on it, the file was called update-cm-6.0.0-Heroc-RC1-signed. for some reason i can only send texts in roaming but not on sprints network. someone said to try a fix called Froyo MMS Fix but when flashing it i got this

and it didnt fix the problem, so im looking into nightlys. im on the page Index of /cm/nightly/heroc/ and i downloaded the newest one, but how do i do it? do i clear my hero and then flash it? or do i flash it with rc1 running and then just reboot with both? (or will it clear the other one on its own)

and then my last question is that im using titanium backup. so i backup all apps and user data. then i flash to this nightly and need to restore from backup. is it going to mess things up because the user data being restored is from rc1 and not nightly?
 
Could anyone help me with my video camera problem? I can't switch the quality or codec in Rc1 or Nightly. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you now running a nightly and still having the video camera issue?

On the 917, when I go into video camera, I have: 1x, AW, Store location (gps), Video quality
 
hey, whats with these SNAP kernels just for CM6, how do they work, which one to get, its all confusing to me,,, im talking about these SNAP kernels.


BTW, if yall dont like getting those 9016 txt msgs when u get a voice mail, then sign up for youmail.com & get the app from the market.
you can also use handcent sms & blacklist the 9016, or use Super Private Conversation from the market to blacklist 9016.......

I NEED MORE, CLEAR INFO ON THESE SNAP KERNELS, PLEASE :)

Are you talking about the uncapped kernels?
 
i reflashed 9/15 nightly with the latest stable uncapped kernal, deleted ADW and tried launcher pro by itself, it still lagged. tried ADW by itself as well and it still lagged. god damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
