hi guys, i was wondring if anyone knows how to fix the ''time zone'' problem in android (i dont think is a ROM problem) the time zone should start from -12 and go all the way to +12 but it starts from -11 and goes all the way to +13 which makes all the time zone wrong, like if you are in pacific it should be -8 but is -7 and so on for every time zone.

edit build.prop or local.prop to be your time zone at boot. fix time zone in settings> clock and then go to terminal and type"getprop"

copy just that line bout time zone to either file and reboot

like mine is "persist.sys.timezone= America/Los_Angeles"then it same no matter if it +7 or +8 for Pacific
 
I'm getting this weird issue where whenever I sent SMS or mms it switches to 1x speed and it shows on the notification bar then switches back to 3g. Anyone else get this?

that's not an issue. it's just the way cdma works.

It's star wars folks. Btw for those people wondering about the "lightning hand" joke it's from JibJab. It's considered one of the funniest versions of star wars on the internet. They sum up the videos in like a minute or less. They put their own humor into it as well. I suggest you all see it.

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but lately if I get a notification from Gmail my hone just reboots ! I've uninstalled t and re-installed it but it only happens when on cm7 anyone else having this problem ?

I had nothing but problems with the Gmail app, Chelle. I uninstalled it and just use the stock 1 to access Gmail and my other accounts.

i will try that, i mean my clock is always right its just the fact that for pacific should be -8 and is -7
 
yup I had noticed that too I got two phones and I couldn't tell if one phone say 7 and one 8 or if they kept changing on both or I was just high and didn't ever remember what time zone I'm in. that persist line will lock it in right place every time
 
I just wanted to pass along a combination that I've found works wonderfully. I'm running the OC Kato kernel w/o the ext. I use S2E to transfer apps to my SD card. My phone is much more responsive with little to no lag.

I started experiencing lag after installing the theme chooser and applying themes. This solved my problems. :)
