Root CyanogenMod 7 Unofficial Beta 5 02/20/12

Just tried it out today and this rom is beautifully fast. Everything just runs so fast now its amazing. Only issue is that youtube hq isnt working =/ ill dig into this thread if their is an answer to it.

Yep mine too, can't play the hq videos. the sound plays and if I hit pause the screen changes changes to the frame where the video is at, just wont play.

now, for some reason i cant download my email attachment, i mean its ok with pictures and mp3 and some other files, but it wont even give me the option to download mkv or mp4, is this a glich or is it because the device is so smart that it will know that for example mkv or mp4 is not a suported format so it wont even bother downloading it?, i might try to copy some mp4 or mkv with usb and see if it will play or not but cant download it as email attachment for sure.

and also i was wondring if there is a way to setup hotmail account as imap, i have a gmail and yahoo and a hotmail account setup with this and the gmail and yahoo is setup with imap but for some reason the hotmail is pop3 and it looks like i cant chang it , i wonder if i am doing something wrong
 
There is an app called 'download all files'

Install it and when you select the attachment, open it with that app and it will download. (or just open email on the browser, and it will do the same)

The rest, idk... Not big on email

Lol I posted that ages ago before the cm9 port. Also cm9 is still very much alpha. It's coming along nicely but cm7 is still pretty much release status if you don't count the mms over wifi issue.

Yep. I'm still running CM7 too. MMS over wifi is no biggie. If I get an MMS while wifi is on, it will download as soon as I turn wifi off. I love me some CM7. :D
 
so i got a question. i just flashed CM7 from HBS6 to try something new. looks sweet by the way. but i have one issue so far. i was restoreing all my apps from titainium, and when it finished i rebooted. when phone came back on the CM7 theme was now changed. it is now back to HBS6 theme that came on that ROM except its zoomed in. weard. not sure how that happeded. i havent ever flashed a HBS theme b4. i believe theres only one on the list of themes and its not that one. i checked titainium list to see if there was something that was reinstalled but nothing stuck out that i saw. any pointers?

idk bout theme issue unless u restore settings data but in general u shouldn't titanium restore across different ROMs. did you restore storage settings our whatever it called?

only restore user apps without data.. DO NOT restore system apps or any data for that matter.

I second those congrats lol,and I agree I love cm7 but must admit I keep backups of cm7 , ctmod amd cm9 because I can help switching between them all lol ! Awesome work to all you guys that take the time to build these roms and constantly work on them for us fans and new beginners ! :thumbup:

Trust me.... your not the only madman that has several roms on his phone and switches around. :cool: I'll admit I'm one of them.

There is also this crazy dude I know that switches more times then a person blinks during the day... *points at wetbiker7 general direction". :rolleyes:
 
Im a customization junkie too
I have my phone themed out and fixed up at for 4 days then I'm changing it again
But I'm stuck on cm 7
