Root CyanogenMod 7 Unofficial Beta 5 02/20/12

Anyone having trouble installing Battle.net Mobile Authenticator? It's rebooting my phone when it installs. Not sure what's wrong.....

Edit: Something on my SD-EXT was hosed. Had to format, couldn't install ANYTHING. Formatted it (which meant I had to re-install the rom) and everything is cool again =]

im getting the same thing also every week. my phone rings once normally and brings up the dialer. but every week i get constant ringing but no dialer. i have to shut my phone down then start it up again for it to work. is there something wrong here

i have cm7 v35hf2. i do have the kak and v6 tweaks. tons of apps, but dont see how one of these would affect this

Are you saying that if you reboot it, that it's then fine? I'm asking because I've never had this problem, but I do go through 1-3 batteries a day, so I'm constantly rebooting.

well i do reboot my phone probably at least every two days and still get this problem. i dont know why its doing that so i thought i should ask

I was just thinking maybe it's something that happens over time. I know from when I had my Droid Incredible, some people had whacky things happen after weeks of uptime, and it would go away with a reboot. Was just thinking that might be the case here. I just wiped my phone tonight, but was running 3.5hf2 for atleast a week (maybe 2) and haven't had those problems. Only problem I was having was that my phone was getting really bogged down, but I think that was having my apps on SD-EXT via S2E. Trying to keep devlik on my phone now, see if that helps.....

When I experienced this issue for myself it did not remedy upon reboot or even shutdown and fresh boot, it took a nandroid restore although I did not take the battery out like someone suggested in an earlier post so that may work. Also, I use A2SD (XDA) but the one ring plus dialer (not the no dialer and chirp sound) was occurring even before I installed that and if the info helps, I flashed CM735HF2 from Stock GB+Root Odin image.

I Love this beta its awesome a million Thanks to hroark13,Psyke83,Koumajutsu,PlayfulGod and Bloodawn, Inigomontoyasr, Interdpth, Murderousone, New Optimus, and Shabbypenguin and also Blue2107! This Rom is sooooo much better than that crap that came with the phone. If there is update or final version great if not then this will do just fine! Thanks a million again. Just installed this with hotfix2. No mms and everything force closes. Fixed permissions after hotfix. Cleared, factory reset, fixed permissions, reinstalled both, still messing up. Any ideas?

EDIT: FIXED
 
just noticed that the ad blocking script isnt included. lol. will that be in a hotfix, if not people can just install adaway and that will remove adds
 
not sure why im getting this, but im having problems with super user. apps that require su keep failing because of superuser. when i try to update the binary manually in super user i keep getting problems. it fails at checking md5sum

ohh and i have a fresh install, all i did was setup my gmail account and nothing else

this is my thought

an odexed rom keeps the apk and the odex file on the /system partition

if it is de-odexed i think it uncompresses the dex file to the /data partition usng up user app space, i would rather it use up space on the /system partiton so we have more user space

de-odexing is need fo themeing, but with CM7, cant we just download the theme in and apk file

it is easy to de-odex and zip align apk files, but I dont know how to re-odex an apk, so you guys have that option



I may be totally wrong about this, so if anyone knows better, please let me know
