Root CyanogenMod 7 Unofficial Beta 5 02/20/12

Go to setting, then sounds and you can do it through there

Yeah that wont work. That allows all things to vibrate (options choosen) on the screen. I need the actual four buttons on the phone to vibrate when i touch them. Ie the menu, home, back, search buttons on the actual phone..ive tried everything in options and cyan options.. no success

can you tell me what other apps / mods you have put on
Apps: swype beta, barcode scanner, a bible, 3d vegas, facebook, fill and sign pdf forms, honeycomb theme, law guide, maps, webster dictionary, netflix(installed after the problem), shock theme, talk back(after), US constitution, Us History, you tube, thats about it

OK I just wanted to see if you were installing super scripts and stuff like that, those look like pretty standard apps

Just out of curiosity can you do a backup of your phone as is, in CWM

reinstall the ROM and dont install anything else, and then test the MMS

not vibrations goofy... you want it to make a noise everytime you select something or hit a key while you dial right.... from the main screen select options.... then go down to sounds... in there scroll down to where it says feedback... you'll see it says audible selection and audible key something.... check those and you should be good.. I promise its in there man i just looked... if your not finding it your not looking in the right spot

did u read his post? hes looking to enable vibrations on the hardware buttons. and no its not there. It has nothing to do with hitting the screen.

yea, i missunderstood your question, it must be a cm7 thing cuz i cant find that option either not that i look for it

if i messed some stuff up and just wanna reflash can i do that if i already have cm7 on the phone and i boot into cwm recovery and reflash over the current cm7 and install the hotfix again?

now that i did that my contacts are gone/keyboard keeps foreclosing/cant go on the internet....

What did you get rid of? The site was pretty clear on what was safe to get rid of..i havent had any trouble so far except when i got rid of the cm7 keyboard and tried to install slide it..it kept fc too...so i got rid of slide it and went with go

chmod 0644 /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_available_frequencies is missing from the init, could that be why? or am i completely off.

i am trying to look into this now that we have a fixed audio driver

i am not seeing the messages in the logcat

what were you doing when the messages came in

we have this in the init.sphm820.rc

# CPU Governor
chmod 0660 /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
chown root system /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
chmod 0660 /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_min_freq
chown root system /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_min_freq
chmod 0660 /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
chown root system /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq

the init.rc is standard and the same for other CM7 devices

the init.sphm820.rc is for our phone

this is different than the way the stock rom or CTMOD works
