I would like to add a helpful tip. This is from recent, repeated experience.
If you use DT a2sd and have marked the Dalvik cache to run on SD-Ext, then at some point clear the Dalvik cache (such as via CWM), you may find your internal memory suddenly get filled up.
This is because the cache and sym-link to the cache is deleted, but the Dalvik flag (used by a2sd) still remains. This results in the cache now rebuilding on your internal memory and yet a2sd "thinks" the cache is on SD-Ext.
To fix it, you just need to go into a2sd (GUI is fine) and select that you want Dalvik to be in internal memory. Reboot. Then go into a2sd again and move it to SD-Ext. It will correctly reset the flag, recreate the sym-link, and free up your internal memory again.
go into recovery go to mounts mount the system and data. You click on it and it changes to say unmount then you know its mounted then flash the zip again.not QUITE sure what i did/doing wrong, but i know i did SOMETHING wrong and just cant figure it out lol. I followed the steps from the post, etc etc, set the partition size to 1024 and swap to 0. rebooted.
reboot was a normal "length of time" and when I ran the a2sd check, i get this
"EXT partition found, but not mounted.
your rom may not be setup to use a2sd.
check with rom dev blah blah blah"
I have ctmod 2.4, which should be ext4, from a post i saw earlier.
Please advise on my stupid mistake. Thank you
go into recovery go to mounts mount the system and data. You click on it and it changes to say unmount then you know its mounted then flash the zip again.
Tried doing that. After I flash the zip, I checked the mount option and they were unmounted again. Tried mounting system then data again and flashing again and rebooting. Still getting same a2sd check message. Its also not wiping my sdcard for what it's worth.
i think you may also need to do a factory reset. that will format your newly created partitions. then do the steps outlined above.
So factory reset from CWM, then follow the steps from step 1 with mounting system/data, installing, rebooting?
/EDIT
Or I guess I should ask at which step should I do the factory reset?

you're booting so you flashed CTMod successfully.
you're getting an error message from the a2sd script so you did that part correctly.
i guess the card is somehow at fault. try reseating it and/or partition it again but make sure you back it up first.
if that doesn't work you could try updating your cwm and do it all again.
if THAT doesn't work you should probably download all of the files again to make sure they're not corrupted .
let us know.![]()
Okay. Now while "su" try "a2sd reinstall" and reboot.
If it sees the SD-Ext, but says a2sd isn't running. Then it seems to me that the init.d script is failing to run or run properly.
Do you have anything else running on this phone? Any optimization scripts?
I mention this because you say you already have apps on your SD. This makes me think you have App2SD or Link2SD already installed.
