Desire HD from Orange

Thanks for that Lefty, I`ll be back onto them AGAIN tomorrow if there`s no text by lunchtime..

i think im gonna resign this for next week me thinks :P

i guess i'll spend my weekend trying to convince my gf NOT to get an iphone4, hence i wanted my DHD to arrive 1st so i could sway her...oh well...

here's to hoping once more!

p.s. you know i was wondering, for the peeps who keep calling again and again...do you think you get put lower and lower in the pecking order cos you've peeved the upgrades guys off? lol
 
just finished my daily chat with orange, i feel we are just going round in circles, guy said, there is no stock available but they are expecting a 2500 unit delivery today, which will then need to go for testing (sounds familliar!!!) Can`t see anything happening to at least mid next week now...:( also, i hope with this delay they don`t start sending out branded units....!!!!
 
NEWS FLASH!!!!

Hey all,

Just had a personal call from the ever helpful (and no im not being sarcastic, cos it aint their fault in the 1st place) Orange Upgrade team member to inform me phones should now be clearing the backorder and has personally ensured mine is being delivered on Monday. Process finally in motion.

So come Monday, Eddie will finally have his DHD!!! WHOOOPIEEEEEE! :D

Fingers crossed you peeps will get the same good news!
 
Tried to get one online yesterday lunchtime on an upgrade - website was showing stock. Entered all my details, submitted the order and got an erro :(

Rang the upgrade line and there was a 20 minute queue so I gave up. I went back on the website and it was now showing as out of stock!

I looked again at 9am this morning and it was showing as in stock again. I rang the upgrade line again, got through first time, and now the phone will be here on Monday!!

If I was that DESPERATE to have it on Orange, I'd just do the sharing signal thing and get it with T-Mobile?.

Is there any specific reason why it must be on orange?
 
For those of you that dont have the sacred text, ring them up as I did today and they can get a manager to authorise any back order without the code that is on the text. For info I paid

not really dude, but being an existing orange customer allows me to get the DHD for free when it should have costed me at least

UPDATE:

Just spoke to Orange..... i now have to post the wrongly delivered phone back to them as they cannot arrange collection and they cannot guarantee I will get the HD as stock may have run out by the time they acknowledge receipt of the phone I have to send back..... amazing....

Have blagged 1 months free line rental for the inconvenience, but pretty annoying. Was looking forward to a weekedn fiddling with my new toy :(

Am now off to sulk in the corner....

Sorry to hear that, but you ain't been the first one to have that issue...It's happened with T-Mobile too.

Is there a Orange store near by to you?.See if they are direct in store and do a swap out?
 
Hi, Just tried a different aproach, phoned retentions rather than upgrades, and guess what, they have stock..! mine now being delivered monday.:) Can`t Wait...:p

just rang them told them i recieved the text but deleted it so no reference number.

order placed, delevery expected 8-6 monday

p.s. got the fabled, "your orange order(xxxxxxxxxx) has been dispatched." Txt....whooopieeee!

till then, i'll play with my screen protector with the picture of the DHD instead...lol
 
looking at the thread called up retentions expecting some good luck. He said if no text is received they cant do anything. Backorder being cleared at the moment so its waiting time again. :mad:

Looks like the whole nation wants a DHD
 
I phoned upgrades, the lady was trying to get me to change my broadband, so I entertained her with that, then she ordered my phone and changed my tariff.
 
may those of you who have an HD from orange get blight on their nadgers!!! :p

I cant face ringing them again, still no text though. Why cant they all give the same answer, all I want is the truth/same story from everyone.

Think they are gonna owe me the tenner they promised if I didnt get it in 10 days!
