You do not understand what ram does and how it helps. the os its self may not require a lot of ram to run. however i doubt that you are running your os with out any applications running on top of it. and depending on the application can depend on the amount of ram that is used. god for bid you have facebook running along with the google play store and in the background google maps is running along with location. and many of the normal uneeded bloat crap that runs in the background of droid os.

with all that stuff running it sucks up your ram hard core. there is no way that 2gb ram is over kill thats almost like when bill gates said that 640kb is all youll ever need. trust me. youll be glad you had that much ram.

Sorry, but this is a common misconception about RAM, especially when someone is used to Windows, where it is a bigger issue. Modern os'es will use as much ram as possible all the time making them a much more efficient system. In any case let's not derail this thread into a discussion about how ram works on Android.
 
the cpu is slave to its ram but for now i believe 2gb worth of ram for mobile application is more than enough.like i said b4 the mobile world is evolving into something bigger each day, games for our android devices are becoming more advanced and high tech with such graphics never though possible on a small mobile device. if we are in need of more ram it would be beacause of the gaming industry.normal everyday apps wouldnt be much of a hassle for our ram.

That is a big misconception. Adding RAM does not make your computer run faster. What it does is reduces the amount of RAM that has to be swapped to disk when you have many programs open. Which is not even an issue for 99% of computer users, especially since 4GB is standard these days.

try booting Ubuntu or Backtrack on the Esteem, then boot it up on an Evo 4G. you'll then see how important ram is. sooo much faster on my Evo than the Esteem
 
anywayz back to topic back to business im wondering pg once your cm9 is released will it have all the bells and whistles like the ability to connect to hid bluetooth devices?
 
A good friend of mine has this and another phone, both of which have been supported by PlayfulGod. His work is legendary. When he is ready to remove the [WIP] from the title, the waiting, frustration and anticipation will all have been worth it. I even have one of my employees running on of your ROMs. Keep up the great work PG.

man i love these mods they are quick and pretty effective in these forums lol thanks for taking care of the pest mods !! woot anyways i gotta be honest ive been to pg's site and hes been working his behind off with more than just the metro community but other as well.
