Asking about progress isn't the same as asking for an ETA.
Its fine to ask how something is coming, but 3 consecutive posts is overdoing it lol

Enough with this "dont ask f5or ETAs" crap. Seriously most of us have been following this thread from the beginning. Are we 10%, 50%, 80%? Its like hirering someone to put in a pool, after a while you start wondering if this thing will ever get dont. Im not trying to bother him or anything but there hasnt been a update on here for us that dont understand github. Seriously and we got these mods jumping down everyones throats about going "off topic". Why dont you respond to my post instead of just cowedly deleting it.

Bad analogy is bad. The person that's putting in the pool is getting paid. Its his duty to inform you how he is doing on it and eta. He will work as fast as he can cause he has a personal life to return too.

Pg does not get paid to do this and can stop when ever he chooses too. He is not obligated to say how much progress is being made. He has a personal life which is more important than a rom. Remember devs work for free to bring us great roms. To cool down your "eagerness" for ics try and install a theme.

Point is you didn't "hire" anyone nor have you "paid" for anything. So your not "owed" anything thus far.
 
Ok fine, the pool guy is getting paid. And yeah he dont have to suppy updates. But lets get it over with...i mean most people are white knuckle on the edge of there seats waiting for this thing and quite honestly most people just wanna know how far are we along. I really didnt mean to be angery. Its just there is new phones coming out and this is hanging in the balance alokg with other factors that would influ people to buy a new phone needlessly or stick with this one and get no support. I mean its been like what 6-7 months.... i dont know even graphics engines for xbox that take that long. Unreal 4 engine took only 8months. Now i understanf life and all that good stuff but like i said lets end this once amd for all. How far are we along? A simple percentage would be sufficient. Just so i know wether to just but the s3 when it comes out or stick with the esteem. Thank you.

Im buying the S3 regardless. Im not keeping the Esteem forever. I would assume PG is going to get the S3 as well.

Pg is the only one on the esteem project so let the man do as he pleases or donate for what he has done for us and all the 17 other phones he's working on.

I don't know why people are so rabid about CM9. You already have themes that mimic it almost completely, and it's not really like it will make the phone call or text message to your wife or girlfriend any faster or getting on the internet or streaming youtube videos any better. I'm sure it will be nice, but to me, it is over rated. I can appreciate the novelty of it, but really that is all it is.

improved task manager...
improved interpersonal & romantic relations + higher social status...

Yeah and how many of those aren't just modified stock roms? This has been taking a while but who cares? You all need to take a step back, and calm down before this thread ends up getting closed by mods for some peoples impatience.

Remember when he didnt have an esteem? and the community came together....yeah like that? Its not that hard, 3 key presses and the enter button...like "99%"...i could see if i was was asking for it to be done by the time i wake up tomorrow. Its really not that big of a deal. its been 6-7-8 months, lets see whats he been up too. Better analogy btw, intern at law firm. You dont get bad but your expected to be researching law codes and stuff and assist the other lawers in the firm. Let me answer a few of your concerns here. For one this isnt my job, so I dont get paid to do it, random donations of varying amounts is it, and even those are not required. I do this for free for the knowledge factor, I am not a programmer nor a coder, so I have to figure it out as I go if I run in to something I dont know.

So a % of where we're at??? Well I have a pink screen once it boots, I say 20%, we are still in a alpha state. When will this change?? who knows, might be tonight, tomorrow, or another month, thats just the facts of it.

And trust me I want this on the Esteem as much as any of you, maybe even more so since I had on my DX, lol. And even if a I upgrade to the S3 etc, I will stil lwork on finishing this. ;)

And about asking for ETA's, ppl can ask all they want, I ignore anything with ETA in it. ;)
