If you don't like the fact that Google is removing the Merged Tabs feature in Google Chrome, one developer has created an Xposed module to help you get it back.
Simply install and enable the module, and the feature will be restored as normal. This was made possible due to the fact that Google left the code inside of Google Chrome in a dormant state instead of removing it completely.
Xposed modules require a rooted device with the framework installed, and while this module should be relatively safe there's always a risk it could cause inadvertent errors on your phone.
