Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

Unable to change the current DPI (higher or lower) without causing bootloop.

It depends on what app and the number of them dpi. It takes awhile but I think from 25-40 I got it to work without boot looping but from there you can barely see much if your eyes aren't good or if your outside with sunlight shinning down.

I tried LCD density modder on the market which allows to change the DPI by 1 or to set of numbers. I tried the set of numbers first then I changed by increments of 1 in both directions and was bootlooped.

yeah i know what you mean but theres a magic number at where it doesnt bootloop, i've done it before somewhere between 25-40.

you need the binaries to change dpi. that is not something that comes with stock gingerbread. Only AOKP like cyanogen or any varriant. I did it the hard way and compiled the binaries from AOKP source and injected it into megatron but I found an easier way.. download "Pimp My Rom" from google play and use the density changer inside the app and it will install the binaries for you and it will change density nice and easy.. NO Bootloops

P.S. don't go below 140 or above 200

I found it looks better if you lower it to 140 (fits more on the screen. Menus look better)

Anybody interested in this?? Jellybean Pie Navigation???

Yes this is running inside megatron on my tu right now!!!

Ok after a few days running on a factory reset/wipe with this ROM, the Notification bar is still: sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, at startup. Unplugged, it's a black bar until I plug in charger and then everything shows up. If charger cord is plugged in while rebooting then bar works as intended

Now I have noticed that after rebooting phone (plugged in or un-plugged), the WiFi signal strength indicator never matches what is reported in Settings/WiFi (my network) as far as connection speeds. The bar indicator always shows the very lowest although I'm connected at 65 Mbps. But if I toggle WiFi off then back on, then everything matches. If I leave it alone, the indicator never changes.

I, for one, need that indicator working accurately after a reboot/power off/even battery pull. I'm a visual type of tech. Like I said, it works great after toggling WiFi off/on. It even shows the speed re-negotiation as I move away from router.

I am running JuiceDefender if that is any help.
Screenshot is right after I rebooted phone. I tried to capture in screenshot my network window proving my speed connection. That didn't work. Trust me, my phone is less than 1 foot from router.

I was reviewing screenshot and my network was showing full bars. So there is something going on at boot. Is it just my phone or.....

Roboot into recovery
Go to mounts and storage
Format /system, /data, and /cache
Plug into computer
Mount USB storage
Go on the on the computer and delete these folders
Android, data, LOST.DIR
Then safely remove from computer and unmount USB storage in recovery
Now download the whole ROM from the op and install as usual

Don't restore any app data only the app itself. That tends to cause all kind of problems.

Oh! my bad. I was just running the 6.1.1 that was posted on 3/09/13. I never installed the op version. I just assummed the 3/09 one was a complete rom. Sigh. It's gonna be a long morning.

I still had to add missing system audio media files to op version. I want those. But that's my choice. After reflashing to that version, currently d/ling OTA to 6.1.1..

After updating to 6.1.1 my WiFi indicator works great now. Also no crazy notification bar problems either.

The reason chev got rid of the media files from system is strictly to lighten the ROM. Android creates a folder on your sdcard called media. You can just put them there and it will still pull up in your menus and all when you go to add ringtones. No ones has ever mentioned anything about it so I'm assuming they all prefer to have them on the sdcard rather than using up space inside the ROM. They'll also hold through ROM changes and all that way.

First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH for this amazing ROM! It's so much faster than the garbage that was pre-loaded with my LG Marquee.

However, I am experiencing one nagging problem... I can't seem to "swipe away" notifications as described in the list of features (for Megatron 6.1.1). Am I doing something wrong?

Again, thanks so much for this amazing ROM!

Wrong place, you want to post your questions here for the lg marquee http://androidforums.com/marquee-all-things-root/689162-rom-megatron-6-1-0-released-2-15-13-a.html

Swipe support will be added in 6.2.0 for the LG Marquee.

Hey, is anyone on at the IRC? I'm having a little bit of trouble with something. Also, what's the IRC's address, or is it still irc.irondust.net? Seems like last time I tried that address, it didn't work quite right, if it worked at all.

Ah, sorry! I'm new here (created an account just to write that post!). I'll be sure to post my questions in that other forum!

And thanks for the quick reply! I had the impression swipe away notifications was already available for the Marquee.

Trying to install MegaTron6.1.1_Sprint.zip on Sprint Samsung TransForm Ultra GB 2.3.6 and it goes to Installation aborted. Using CWM 5.0.2.8 It showing:

Installing: /sdcard/MegaTron6.1.1_Sprint.zip
E:Can't find misc, Finding update package...
Opening update package..., E:Can't open /sdcard/MegaTron6.1.1_Sprint.zip {bad}
Installation aborted.

I am able to install CTMod 3.80 with no problem, any ideals how to fix this ? Thanks

When you download the ROM, where are you downloading it from? Another user was having a similar issue and it turned out they were trying to install an update when they needed the full ROM.

Downloading from link on post #3 Sprint vv
Megatron_6.1.1Sprint_CWM.zip[/URL] went to "http://www.mediafire.com/?3spgue2w3r562p6" I tried unzipping the file(s) and get CRC errors (did this just as a test to see if it would unzip). Is there a v6.1.0 for Transform Ultra ?

Tried unzipping the file just as a test only (download file multiple times using different browsers). When I moved the zip file to the SD card and use CWM to flash I get the error shown in post #3507
