Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

Just tried that and pretty much got the same error message:
Installing: /sdcard/cwm/backup/MegaTron6.1.1_Sprint.zip
E:Can't find misc, Finding update package...
Opening update package..., E:Can't open /sdcard/cwm/backup/MegaTron6.1.1_Sprint.zip {bad}
Installation aborted.

Is there another place to download the file besides the link shown in post #3 ? I have done a Google search and don't find anything else.
 
Thank you dmcjr22!!! I was able to install v6.1.0 and then did an OTA update to v6.1.1. Before doing the OTA update (I didn't know about the OTA) I did retry using the downloaded file from mediafire and it aborted the installation, so maybe a corrupted file on mediafire ? Now just need to re-install all my apps.
 
Same issue but for boost. I try to flash it and it says bad installation aborted. Where else can i get the latest version of megatron for my tu?
 
no i never updated to it just running 6.1.0 after you do install 6.1.0 if you havent already try going into ota updater(pre installed in rom) and dloading from there make sure you use wifi not 3g

i might be wrong but you need 6.1.0 installed first because 6.1.1 is just an update to it because its not the actual rom

Blah, I don't like using OTA, I have the ZTE Warp Sequent, but I still use my TU for music etc. I had megatron before and then to update it was a hassle. Wifi or 3G didn't matter. It would always fail to download. Eventually it downloaded 100% on 3G. I have CTMod on my TU right now but I miss megatron. Thank you though(: Why don't you update to 6.1.1.?
 
basically because changelog says its just fixes the bugs what those bugs are i dont know....never had any problems with 6.1.0 so like old saying goes if it aint broke dont fix it

I ran in to a few bugs on 6.1.0 on certain apps. Updating to 6.1.1. did fix those bugs. Then again I tend to push my devices a bit too far then what they can handle lol
 
haha i hear ya bout trying to push the devices past their limits...hopefully someone has a copy and will share it...tu forum has been quite lately though good luck maybe you can pm chev for it

Might PM Chev, I have a feeling it'll be sometime till he replies. But for now I'm downloading 6.1.0. See the thing is where I live the only Internet connection I can get is with directv which would be satellite Internet which is pretty expensive. So I have this Virgin Mobile Phone that I bought off someone on craigslist last year and it's not activated/connected but somehow it has 3G the Internet on it works. So i Tether from that. Occasionally I tether from my ZTE Warp Sequent. So it sucks when downloading somewhat big files. They fail every now and then lol
 
I, too, encountered the same CWM bad file error that was on the 6.1.1 OP link.

I spoke too soon on my last post. I followed directions. Flashed 6.1.0 then OTAed. After reboots, still have black notification bar until a tweet/etc push or plug into USB on PC. Car charger doesn't trigger a push. When bar does show up, then WiFi icon still shows minimum strength until I toggle it off/on. I also can confirm the screenshot I posted last.

New problem: Lockscreen works great on pattern until I toggle it off for home use then toggle it back on for going out, then it never comes back on until reboot.

FYI, for the very few brief moments that I was on 6.1.0, it seemed to work correctly on notification bar except the button text colors .... Bleh. But I never got to try out stuff any furthur due to snagging 6.1.1. I'm thinking of regressing back to 6.1.0.

looks like mediafire corrupted the files somehow... sorry for the slow response everyone. links are updated now in the 3rd post. should be good to go now.

install away!!!
 
I'm currently at version 6.1.0..but I'm having an issue with USB tethering. The issue being, I don't see the option for it anywhere. When I plug my device into my computer as well, I only have option for mass storage or charging. How to I turn on usb tethering?

Download PDAnet which is now mixed in with FoxFi, But the FoxFi Key and you can tether through USB from your phone. It'll let you download the PDAset up for you pc/mac from the app and once downloaded plug your phone in and enable mass storage and move the pdanet set up to your pc/mac and set it up with your phone very simple
