I'm new to Android and rooting. I started with 5.3.1 and had the GPS and FC errors. 5.3.2 fixed both of those (thanks!). I just did an advanced restore and did the boot and system only. Worked great.

Is anyone having any problems with FoxFi? Prior to 5.3.2, I could connect via proxy and browse the web, but not without it (could connect, but had no internet connectivity). Now, I can connect to the Transform Ultra, but get no connectivity with or without the proxy. Also, I have two FoxFi/WiFi icons, is that supposed to happen, or do I have two programs fighting each other?.

Your two icons are normal.. one is the foxfi icon and the other is the wifi tether icon. Just ignore the non foxfi one. Secondly I think the problem with your tethering is the dns server. Change your dns to opendns and see if that works.. just google change adapter dns windows version for info on how to do so.

Hell ya no more force closes. It takes some time but i installed 5.3.2 fresh. It started to force close so i went to cwm and wiped cache and dalvik then fixed permissions and force closes went away. Then signed into google and it restored my contacts and stuff. Then i went to google play and installed all the previously installed apps i had before. It's a great thing that google keeps all that info. I have been trying different methods for days now. It seems like every time i try to backup and restore apps and data using an app it triggers force close to the point of no return with this rom. Best bet for me yet. I reboot my phone every five minutes or so trying to make them come back and nothing yet. I have been doing this for about 12 hours straight now. Hell ya no more force close. This makes this rom perfect for me now.

Now only 1 question, how the hell do i get the stock clock app back and working. I bluetoothed it from my wifes TU to mine but it wont let me install it for some reason. Anyone know how i can get it back. Apparently it was removed in the making of this rom. Go clock widget wont work without it for some reason. Anyway i want it back how do i get it. I have a copy of the apk but can't install it. Anyone know why? Don't really care why i just want it back. Can someone help me please?

It turns out I figured out the problem. This may already be known, but if I turned on FoxFi with the WiFi already on (not connected to a network), the tether would not work. If I allowed FoxFi to turn on the network, worked like a champ.

I was actually just coming here to write about that. I really like using the Google search widget to give my phone commands. 9 out of 10 times I use that feature, its "set timer 20 minutes". I'd burn so much of my food without it. lol And that feature does not work without the clock.

So please reintroduce the stock clock & calculator to $hEvRoN

Also after trying out several different WiFi tethering apps. I like "Barnacle WiFi Tether" the best, and if you were to include any app of this type. My vote would be that one.

Owe you many thanks for this ROM, it turns my girlfriends TU into a usable phone. I'll definitely be donating once a few summer paychecks come through.

Real quick question though. I applied the green theme and she's not really liking it as much as the blue. Would it be possible to upload zip file for the blue theme as well? For people who wish to go back.

I will soon, but for now all you have to do is do an advance system restore in cwm on $hEvRoN version 5.3.2. Her data will still be there. This will only restore the system apps including the blue theme.

if you have titanium backup and backed up everything all you have to do is go to backup/restore and restore the app. i did this for the clock, calculator and my files apps and they all work great

am i the only one having problems when going to the play store website it says "you havent accessed the play store app" and also maybe for the next update a really good browser is firefox beta because it has a flash player plugin so you can watch videos from youtube on that browser and listen to audio files on websites. and something i find useful is truecaller. it searches numbers while someone is calling or texting you so you know who it is

I had the same problem, I think the shevron rom just doesn't Like certain phones, and I guess me and you have those phones. LOL. For now I'm trying out Transform Prime and it's pretty sweet.

Honestly I didn't read, I was at work when it freaked out last time. So I did a restore,downloaded Transform Prime and installed. Problem free so far and I get a signal in my house ( which never happens) so I think it's pretty nice. He offers a few different boot screens and I am also overclocked. Try it!

Honestly dont know what to tell ya.......... i Cant exactly stop it cause the system is confused when the kernel is saying its carrier IQ free and the system is saying it Isnt. You guys are lucky to even find quick fixes that last over a day.

Well maybe you should take FIX FORCE CLOSE ERROR off the OP then cause its obviously an issue. At least with 2 of us it is. No offence.

I just can't deal with the force close issue. I want to install it on my wife's phone but she doesn't want problems either and she will only let me do it if it's problem free and pink or purple

Dude try prime rom it's awesome with no problems davegrow does great work. 3g is faster then shevron rom. Sorry chev but your slackin compared to davegrow. No offence LOL

first I'd like to say that I have tried prime ROM and agree it is awesome. With that said, I flashed from prime to this ROM and have not regretted it one bit. I un-installed the last shevron after about 2 days because of force closes which pop up now and then but much better. The weird thing about the battery issue I described earlier is that I had been trying out NQ anti virus and phone booster and decided maybe it was something to do with them so I went back to es task manager and all is well once again. Still weird that it always shows my battery usage never below 90 percent for android system but I love this rom! Thanks chevan! Also wondering what effect penguinrepair's kernel would have on thhis rom? I'm tempted to flash it but wanted to make sure first if possible

I have the newest firmware of this rom and have no FC issues. I readded the clock and calculator as well. Still not sure why it's doing that for others. All I did was clear dalvic and all cache... :/

Once again "THERES NOTHING" we can do about the FC's we have tried our best to fix it. Those themes wont be available till 6.0 which isnt coming anytime Soon.

Dont flash it, sure it will still boot your phone but its useless to you. That kernel was modified to run CM7

penguin repair and maverikmeercat gave it to me when I was looking for a solution to change the boot animation on the 2.3.6 update. I was told what it was to be used for and not to share with anyone which I have not. I used it on 2.3.6 for a day before flashing the prime and then your ROM. Haven't tried anything with it since because this ROM has done all that I need and I'm obviously his royal noobness. I'll be more than happy to wait to use it again till I can use it for CM7.

Quick question, is there a usb tether app that works for the TU? My kid snapped my network adapter and I can't replace it right this second and foxfi was my only non android internet connection......
