Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

Since it looks like 6.0 is gonna take a while as mavrick just bricked his phone and some of the data for 6.0 has been corrupted. I have decided to update the ROM for bug fixes which now FINALLY fixes the GPS problem and the Force close error you that you are all experiencing. Please read the thread carefully on how to update the ROM. The physical search button will not work untill you flash the searchbuttonfix.zip located right below the download instructions. Well thats it for now no more updates until 6.0 is released unless bugs are found and DO NOT ASK FOR ETA's on 6.0 "You have been warned". Hope you guys enjoy the new update and experience no more problems.

hey i just installed the 5.3.2 and still getting FC on system please pm me and help

I lost live wallpapers... maybe I deleted it by accident in root uninstaller. I had to take the .apk's from another ROM and put them into the system/app folder. But the update fixed the GPS and everything's working fine.

No you didnt remove them, i did ita actually considered "Bloatware" and its such a battery waster.

Me too can you help me too please. It wasn't until i restored my apps that i started getting the fcs.i think but not sure. Anything to help would be great. Thanks chev and mav. Ok so i have to fix permissions in recovery to get the fcs to stop until i reboot then they come back.

I was having force close then boot loop issues after installing exactly the way instructions said. I think I found the problems, running about 8 hours and many reboots problem free so far :D. If it stays stable I will post what I did to fix it soon. Maybe he has same problems I had/ have?

5.3.2 is running great. no fcs so far, gps working. only issue I had was after I did my cwm backup and tried to restore 5.3.2 I got error message "unable to unmount system" . did a battery pull, booted into recovery and was able to restore. thanks for all the hard work that went into creating this rom!

That unable to unmount system error is a cwm issue. You must restart after a backup or cwm doesn't like it. An easy way to restart is to go to the main menu and choose advanced and then reboot recovery.

So what was the conclusion? What did you do to fix the force closes cause every time i restart, i get system force close. So i have to go to recovery and fix permissions. Pain in the ass but i guess i can deal with it for now. Anyone know what i can do to try to fix this issue. Am i giving enough info? Anyone else having this issue with 5.3.2. It's probably not the rom it might be something i might have done. I don't know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

On my way home from work, will post when I get there. I drive a big truck so this is too dangerous to try to say so much. Maybe 12:30ish eastern time.

Is it now 2.3.6 or is it still being in development. Im away right now and can't flash it. But thanks for the hard work anyways :D:D:D

First install Shevron rom.
Next do a wipe data/factory reset. (In CWM)
Now wipe cache partition and wipe Dalvik cache.
Next install the Hardware detection zip. (searchbuttonfix.zip)
And finally fix permissions.
Reboot to phone now.
Go to play store and download - root uninstaller (Android Logo version)
apps2rom and a Launcher of your choice (I have Xperia launcher)
Now use apps2rom to install your launcher as a system app.
Use root uninstaller and uninstall ALL Go stuff, Go Launcher etc.
Next download your apps from the store and use Titanium backup to only restore data.

This is the ONLY way I could stop my phone from Force Closing and then going into a bootloop and I am unsure which of these steps fixed it. I used Titanium backup to restore apps etc. It seemed my phone only got messed up after updating the Go stuff. Every time I went to store and updated then do a reboot it happened. I did my steps above and it all stopped! Until I installed an app from Titanium backup that was previously an app I backed up that I had made a system app, I got a force close. I think that has something to do with it. Restore your data only with Titanium backup. Next I will be making a backup to my PC and wiping SDcard and starting with fresh backups on my NEW $hevron Phone!!! If you need more details as to the events that led me to believe this is how to fix it, let me know and I can give more details.

Thanks Chevanlol360, MavrikMeerkat and anyone else that helped make this rom happen!!! Love you guys and your continued persistence to make us Happy!!!

chevanlol360, TeachMe, I am having serious problems installing this ROM I am getting a MD5 mismatch as well. chevanlol360, where is the new link suppose to be posted? I have tried several of the older versions and get the same MD5 mismatch. I have downloaded several other ROMS. Can you help figure this one out? Thanks!

Redownload the file unzip it and place it in /Sdcard/Clockworkmod/backup.

after flashing 5.3.2 I noticed in no frills CPU that I/O scheduler only has cfq and noop. on 5.3.1 i had more options . do I have to reflash bobzhomes second kernel?

Im having a few issues....

The phone will work great for 2 or 3 boots, and then on the 4ish boot it will get stuck at the loading screen. Is this a known problem? The only way to fix it is to completely reload the ROM in CWM. I am currently doing my 3rd reload.

The second thing I noticed is that I cant remove any of the "Go" applications, Ive tried using 4 different system and root uninstallers with no luck.

Is the Go stuff required to use the Rom? and is trying to remove them what is crashing it? Honestly I just want the Go Messenger removed

Are you rooted with CWM for the Ultra? Are you on a Transform or Transform Ultra? If you are rooted on an Ultra look up a few posts or so to see my post on how to fix the bootloop (stuck at loading screen) and force close issues. Follow them exactly and let me know how it turns out.

First off, A BIG Thank You Very Much to every who worked so hard to develop such a great Custom ROM. If i repeat anything that was previously mentioned, please forgive me. 15 pages of replies is a lot to go through!

I've had my Samsung Transform Ultra from Boost for a few months now. I've been looking around for awhile trying to decide on a custom rom to use. I liked the look of yours the best. ;)
So now it's been about 24hours since I rooted, installed $hEvRoN, and overclocked my phone.

Here are my initial thoughts and a question...

So far I like the GUI enhancements quite a bit. I'm probably going to switch my theme to green in a day or two. I'm assuming i just go through and replace the files(I didn't see any instructions)

I really like that all of the useless, space wasting software is gone. But I think you could have left the calculator installed(I liked the basic one that came with the phone). That being said I was disappointed to find the animated weather clock widget app pre-installed. I had to get root uninstaller to remove it.

Some possible app additions I'd suggest would be a wifi tethering app, No-frills CPU Control(why have an OC kernel if you don't use it :D ), Root Explorer, and Android System Info.

With Android System Info, I am able to check what percent of the time, the cpu was running at various speeds. Before rooting and installing this ROM, it only went up to 1024.0mhz, Android System Info was the first app i installed onto my phone. It now goes up to 2016.0mhz. although until i used No-Frills CPU Control it never used anything past 1024.0mhz. after some research i found a few posts referring to 1401.6mhz as the limit they found for the phone to remain stable. So I set it to 1305.6 to be safe.

You mention 3G tweaks, are you referring to the same tweaks as 3g Turbo, V6, and KAK by Zepplinrox? If not, they probably wouldn't be compatible right?

Thanks for your time,
DK

Thanks for the feedback and we will look into them. "Es file explorer " is a file explorer that can view files on your sdcard as well as the system. You can also edit the system with the app as well. I will add a tethering app soon, i had to remove one in a earlier version. I'll let the user decide what else they want to download. 3G tweaks includes the supercharh V6 as well as some edits to the system. In the future added apps will be deleted such as the animated clock widgets and other apps. One again thanks for the feedback we try to make the ROM free for the user to do whatever they want to do with it.

I tried using it, but I was stuck in "/sdcard/".. Every time it hit the folder up button, it acted as if i hit the back button. Hit it twice fast enough, and the app would close. After reading your reply, i dug around in it some more, and found my way to the system root "/" inside of the favorites tab.

UPDATE!!!

My fix just failed me :(
10:00 pm I started getting messages saying Error: Sign in failed. If problem persists please turn phone off and back on again. So I did, Force Close - Bootloop - Restore.

Argh!
