Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

OK so I downloaded this rom and realized it was not the latest update so now I'm getting the software update pop up is there a way to install the ff27 update without losing this rom or is there a rom that has the ff27 update without all the bloatware

Nope, but mav and I have been working hard lately on the new 6.0 version of the ROM which is now in beta stage 1 and is running FF27. Note that once we enter beta stages it only takes a few weeks to finish up the ROM for official releases.

I hate my TU so I'll test just about anything.. If you need another beta tester I'm more then willing. Thanks
 
I can almost smell the ozone already :D
Edit: for those of you saying "WTF is loota talking about?", Ozone is created by fried circuitry.

Oooh, the magic blue smoke, eh? :p I always wondered what it was, but thought it was harmful to inhale (in large doses, anyway).
 
I was having a force close issue on my boost mobile TU. After clearing dalvic and resetting to factory before installing $hEvRoN I had no issues.
 
Is there a way I can stop boost mobile update notification from coming to my phone while I'm using this rom.......btw it is a very nice rom
 
I've recently been getting bugged by an OTA update notification. I'm wondering if the upcoming version 6.0 will include the latest update released on 8/1. I've also started getting some FC issues now. I'm anxiously awaiting the new version ;)

Yes it will be running FF27, and so far in the 2 of 6.0 non of my rom testers has reported the FC bug that you all are experiencing. Hang in there buddy, just a few more weeks.
 
So out of curiousity is 6.0 gonna have the lock screen from stock 2.4.6 or something more custom?
 
So I just accidentally dropped my phone >.< WHOOPS!!
It's fine, but the battery came out and therefore it was an unclean shutdown.

But i was able to figure out a little more about my FC issue. It seems to happen most often after an unclean shutdown. I figured you guys would probably be interested

After powering it back up I received a FC as soon as i got to my home screen. Now every time I open the phone dialer it causes another FC. This does not happen anywhere else including call log, contacts, favorites.

So now that i know how to make the fc happen. I used "Android System Info" to view the logs for my phone, and export them to a file. I wish it was time stamped but whatever, i think this is what you'd be interested in:

I originally became interested in rooting my phone because I wanted to get the $hevron rom on my phone (Boost mobile samsung transform ultra) along with other decent root requiring apps. It took me a while to figure out how to root. But I eventually figured it out after an extensive search of instructions. So I rooted my phone. I installed a few root requiring apps, like titanium backup. then my phone did an update, and i discovered that my phone was not rooted anymore. Quite frustrated with this, I found that super user is still on my phone. So i figured maybe another time I will try re rooting my phone again, after I better understand how to install this rom after and make sure phone is updated as it needs to be before root. So my problem now is I want to remove super user from my phone, since it is useless without root.. I tried looking up everywhere on how to do this, with this situation of being unrooted. I really dont want to have to root my phone again just to remove SU and remove root again. Ive found many of the instructions on what to do, to be beyond my understanding. (yep pretty much a noob), and I dont want to tinker with my phone and mess it up with only partially understood instructions. Ive tried factory reset, and Ive tried super one click. and Superuser is still there. and now when I try to move things to SD card in phone it sumtimes says error on first try. Im gettin very nervous with the my phone. Ive heard of flashing and SBF and RDA, and I dont have any idea how to do that. Im sorry to have posted this in this thread. I dont know how to start a new thread or find any better one thats open than this. AS this is where I started with the interests of getting this Rom, but now putting that plan on the back burner till i can figure this out. Could anyone please help me.???

Megatron is currently in beta stage 3, the beta stages will end at stage 5 which wont take long.
Tomorrow i will be posting up images of MegaTron 6.0 and well as a list of features. MegaTron is very close to release date which is 1-2 weeks or less.
