Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

Wow so i commented when megatron hit how well the 3g boost was that 3g was actually fast..well the wow is i watcg firstrowsports a streaming site and im watching on phone with 3g and no skipping or buffering..simply wow before megatron was waste of effort to attempt..Chev and Mav once again thanks so sick how u guys did it...

Another cause of the Link2SD problem is possibly using a lower-class card than is recommended. I was having the same issue where some apps would disappear sometimes, then reappear after a second reboot, and it turned out the 16GB card I was using was a Class 2 device. Mavrikmeercat suggests using at least a Class 4. You can figure out the class of your card by looking for the part inside the green circle shown on the attached photo.

Just had my first Ram Dump. It happened using Go SMS Pro. While typing a text message out. the screen went black, then came up with an error code, so i wrote down.

CP
dog :Fault LINE=0
Format : Excep0ion detected
qxdm_message : ExIPC; Page Fault 0 @ 50ea538, tid=9c001

pulled battery, booted up, and seems fine so far.

I also went into the RAM Dumpmode yesterday, twice in a row and received the same error. BUT, I also knew what caused it, as I was playing with the internal programming.

Ok so after much research and trial and error (THANK YOU Xaeith) I believe we may have found an issue (with some phones) on the Link2sd app.

Don't mean to step on toes here (Chev and Mav) as their knowledge is a great deal more than mine, on the subject of phones.

Even though the op states to use the ext4 format for your second partition, ext4 is still relatively new there are bugs. Our phones (TU), is old with minimal programming. Together they cause issues.

1. Sdcard needs to be higher than a class 2.
2. Ext4 format just doesn't work correctly for our phone. However, FAT32 works for all phones. That is the format I would suggest for everyone to use.
3. If you pull your sdcard out and trade it out for something better or just pull it out then put back in - It breaks the link (from what was tested). Like when you make a shortcut for a program on your computer, then you move the original program somewhere else. The shortcut no longer works and the shortcut is broken. So moral of the story is keep your sdcard in at all times. lol.

Need to confirm also (Xaeith and myself) that the hiddenmenu.apk does not work for SPRINT TU owners. At least 2 of 3 codes do not work:

First disclaimer:

These codes are for the internal programming of the phone. Use of these codes are at YOUR OWN RISK. Using them and not knowing what or how to use them can and will cause very undesired affects. I nor anyone else is not responsible for use of these codes and phone becomes bricked.

What has been tested and results: (actual symbols have been left out for safety of noobs)

**3282* - Works - No Issues
**7678* - Does not work - Can access menu and highlight items but will not do anything else. Will not reboot.
**8778* - Does not work - Again, can access menu and highlight but will not do anything else. Will work if stock ROM.

If any Sprint TU owner's can confirm, let me know.

Just a quick caveat (sorry nite, you posted before I could reply to your PM), you CAN remove your SD card, but you MUST turn the phone off first, and keep your phone OFF AT ALL TIMES until you've re-inserted the card. Then, as long as you don't mess with the second partition at all, it won't break the links.

EDIT: Also, while doing the testing and stuff last night, I discovered that CWM actually formats to ext3, which I believe does work fine (haven't tested it out with my new card to be sure), so that may help, as well.

EDIT2: Hahahaha, sorry, one more thing to add. This may just be me, but there is one issue with the ##3282# code. If you go into edit mode, others, and mmsc url, it won't let you out of the menu, beyond (quick-)rebooting the phone. Pressing home seems to work, but when you try going back into the 3282 option, it goes right back to the mmsc url screen if the phone hasn't been rebooted before then.

Its all good. We are all here to learn from each other. I still have plenty to learn.

quik question how can i get rid of the loud ass transformer sound when u turn on phone and when u got low battery?

Well if notice thas one of the changes on 6.0.4 *IF you update megatron the boot up sound went down like *28 DB so it won't be as loud as it was.
Did you update megatron ? Sry I'm deaf from my left ear ...lol

Your right but everyone has something in every rom they dont like. Otherwise there would be no need to root or make other roms. Its all part of the game. A little tweak here, a little tweak there never hurt anything.

Hello all. I've been playing with my prls lately (thanks slayer72 for the guide) and I was wondering how would I find the best prl for my area? Google hasn't been a help, so I figured I would try here. :D Anyways, I live in Northeast Ohio if that makes a difference. Thanks for any and all info.

There is no magic prl which will give you the best signal. I had to change mine at least 6 times before I found the one with the best signal in my area.

When never mav or i ever release an OTA you will get it instantly. Its one of the reasons why we left goo manager OTA service so you dont have to wait and keep going in and out of the app hoping for a update so Why would you still want to check?
I just don't want it to run in the background automatically. I check the forums enough to know when to update :-)
