hey guy's sorry for kinda going POOF for a while, as you can see im rather busy on here now XD, still love this thread though!

@Slayer72 - Congratulations on the Promotion.

@NiteNarmor - I'm sorry i haven't been able to get around to Finishing your Icon.
i will also finish the wallpaper to who ever wanted it here soon.(someone asked me about fixing the image i made for their phone.)

@Chev i am still amazed on how well you have built this Rom and looking forward to any further upgrade / tweaks.

have a good day guys.

Ok so I've been reading a bunch of these files in my phone and think its very capable of getting 4g wimax!! Do we have all of the files for are phone?? I thhink I seen some for are phone on github.com that we dont have?? I believe it was posted by interdepth!! Also I've seeen the debates where people believe the wimax radio is completely seperate from the internal one but it shows specifications where the wifi (802.11x) radio is similar to and could possibly be set up to receive. It?? Forgive me if noe of this jibrish makes sense but if some could provide some knowledge on;

1.Do the wimax bin files do anything on our phone?? If so what are they doing?? If not an we manually operate them??
2.if you look at the package.xml files why is their no number value in the Access Wimax state?? And does anyone know what would happen if I put a value there?? Or how I could edit it??
3.also I have 1234 for my HA&AAA keys!! I don't think that's right is it?? Also I believe in one of these files I've seen a diffrent mac address! Not the one that displays in the settings or the bluetooth. Is their a way to find my original keys??
4.what would unlocking my phone do?? And what is the option for gateway 2 ued for?? Also what is the A-key for??
Sorry for all the questions at once but I'm. Hoping to make a breakthru!! Lol

Someone else will hopefully explain it better but from what i understand, the software is there but the hardware isnt. Im thinking the orginal image they used for the TU back from 2.3.4 was a generic image built as an all encompassing rom later to be tweaked to fit the particular device they put it on. I wonder if u could fit a radio inside our phone that has 4G capabilities though, but thats barking up a different tree

That's what they were debating!! Ill have to find the site again but they were looking for the radio on a phone and couldn't find it and they believed it came from the same radio!! The wifi radio can pick up 802.xx signal which isnt wimax broadcasted the same way?? Read some of the files in the wifi folders!! Its interesting!!! :-)

thats correct we have the software and a few hardware but not the main one......... 4G chip:D

ok first I have to say Chev this ROM kiks ass!!! Best one I've ran yet!! I hope to one day posess your skills!! I'm still pretty much a noob and most of my experience is on the prevail and the evo 4g (old wimax ver). Keep up the great work bro and any way I can support the cause let me know!! Also I seen your reply to my question about the native usb tether and hotspot!! I have the boostmobile version and was able to access it!! I believe I was running the CT-mod tho but I didn't always have it I was editing some values in the wifi files and pckage.xml files when my phone all of the sudden reset itself and when I went back to my phone it was an option!! What do I have to do to access them again??? I used to get the error code 67 when I tried to use it but I could still use the hotspot as a LAN connection!! I figure I would get it to work eventually!!

But sorry bout the rambling back to my original point I seen this argunment between some people who were looking for a seperate radio on a phone (can't remember wich one but it was for sure a wimax phone) and upon examination they found a diffrent MAC address but couldn't find a diffrent radio!! Which led them to believe that infact it had to be working through the same radio!! And I remember them discussing how the primary and secondary ha IP address was the same for regular data and the 4g!!

Seriously loving this ROM. I have not tried pimp my rom yet cause Chev said a lot of those tweaks are already integrated. I may give it a shot if I get bored, but I don't know if I should bother cause this rom is already blazing fast compared to stock.

I was using Go Launcher for the longest time, and at the same time I put in this rom I switched to ADW ex and I think that helped out with the response of the phone. I also got rid of go sms and am currently using chomp. GO apps tend to stay as running processes where ADW and chomp go to cache as soon as you are not using them, which is nice.

I have had no problems at all with this rom. Every time I pick up the phone now I can expect it to respond quick and do what I need.

As a side note, I just bought a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" and had CM10 on it within 2 hours of bringing it home LOL... going to try another rom on it tonight just to play around. I still love my phone but just desired a much larger android device for general use.

I just covert my mp3 to wav using RecForge from the market. I then rename the wav to poweron.snd. You want to use a mp3 ringtone maker to cut the mp3 down to size before converting to wav. ;)

Very cool! Always learning new tricks from you guys. Changed my boot sound to the Dexter ending theme with Glorious Sunshine pac-man boot...funny. One thing though. The sound starts off fine and then as it goes for a bit it gets really loud all of a sudden. How can I control the poweron.snd volume? Does that make sense?

I love running this rom and now have a galaxy tab 2 7" wifi only version. Had a custom rom but that didn't want to work right so I went back to stock on it. waiting for the jelly bean update for it. Only thing I wish I could change is taking the ICS keyboard off of being default. So now I'm stuck using TouchPal :/

OK on audacity there is a - + bar on your left under Mute and Solo when you point the mouse @ it it and click and hold says Gain:0 DB that's the volume setting play whit it till you find your desire volume ...

edit:
if you are using Audacity do it this way and you wont have no problem @ all:

Audacity
Click the File tab then Open (chose your mp3 sound) and Open
Just make sure your soundbite is Stereo, and 44100Hz
After you are DONE editing you sound
Click File > Export
Set Save as type: to "Other uncompressed files"
Click Options
set Header to "RAW (header-less)"
and Encoding to "Signed 16 bit PCM"
click OK and save the file as poweron.snd

that's it have fun and good luck!

found this somewhere long time ago can't remember where sry

How long or how big in Mb should the file be? Just curious :smokingsomb:

Swype Beta?

Tried that too. anytime I'd reboot ICS keyboard would be the main again... touchpal seems to be the only one staying as the keyboard when i reboot.

You went to settings, language and keyboard, keyboard settings, and selected swype beta? If it still changes it not sure what to say as I didn't experience that.

I think it can't be much longer than 15 seconds, give or take a few, and only because the phone will cut the sound off once the phone's done booting up. Otherwise there aren't any size or length requirements, as far as I'm aware.

That was my experience...mine was 29s and it just cut it off when the boot finished. I didn't have to go trim it.

Thanks! Really appreciate it! :smokingsomb:

hey chev, i got a question. every time i power off or reboot my phone, all my home screen items keep getting wiped off and i have to put all my short cuts and widgets back. another things is upon power on/reboot i get an error from link2sd sayin error with mounting script, reboot or try to rewrite script, something like that. did i do anything wrong? its been working great except those 2 probs

Ditto on the 3G. I have messed around with my prl with no luck. I am back to using boosts stock prl. Maybe one day I'll find that magical Prl. ;)

In reply to the prl conversation from last week...I downloaded all the prl files and did the cdma/change your prl process. I tried every single prl and didn't really see any improvement even with 3g turbocharger doing its thing.

I called boost and was told this: "pull battery, wait 2-3 minutes, reboot, go to dialer and type ##72786#, then enter your msl, select yes." Phone reboots and if you go to status, you will notice that the phone is updating your prl to the best tower.

I ran 3g turbo again just in case and getting much better speeds now. (By the way, does anyone know whether using 3g/4g optimizer with 3g turbocharger does anything better than just using the 3g turbo by itself?)

Not sure if it was just me that didn't know, but sharing my experience if it helps someone.

Would you mind if I used this information and put it with my DYI: How to change your PRL thread as long as I give you the credit? I would like that thread to stay up to date with all info on PRL procedures.

I had that happen with Link2SD once myself, I just basically rebooted into CWM and wiped cache and dalvik-cache then rebooted into system and told Link2SD to relink the mount scripts and it was fine after that, everything was back, don't know why it happened but that's what I did, hope this helps...

OK ill try that. Thank u
