Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

I called boost and was told this: "pull battery, wait 2-3 minutes, reboot, go to dialer and type ##72786#, then enter your msl, select yes." Phone reboots and if you go to status, you will notice that the phone is updating your prl to the best tower.

thanks for this info, but...just tried this and my phone couldnt call out or 3g after. went to settings and my phone number was listed as "000000000001867" (not my phone number) I called boost and they talked me through resetting my number and MSID via hidden.apk and all is good again...

Maybe dumb question since we are on the megatron forum, but you are rooted and you waited to reboot?

btw, I re-created the same problem by entering the ##72786# without pulling the battery and got the same issue. I then powered off, pulled the battery, waited 3 minutes, rebooted, entered ##72786# and everything went right. Apparently the power off, battery pull, and making sure to wait 2-3 minutes makes a difference. I don't know if that is what caused your issue, but I did manage to make it mess up then happen right the next time.

You have too use the systemui and frameworkres from the rom itself (6.0.4 update) not from the stock theme ,stock theme is been giving us some problems with the power menu...

Actually, the stock theme will work also, you just have to include the android.policy.jar included in the zip. It should be in the "framework" folder along with the framework-res.apk. I figured the file was important or Chev and mav wouldn't have put it there, but didn't really know what it was for till Chev mentioned it in the Halloween theme thread in regards to someone else having issues with the power menu.

Chev once told us how to make a backup using terminal emulator but I forgot the code. Anyone know what it is? :smokingsomb:

So I must be the only one. That sucks. Oh well I'll just do it the old fashioned way. I wonder what would cause this not to work. .

I just tried terminal emulator backup and it worked fine here. Is this an online backup? How do I access it in the future for a restore? Just curious.

I don't believe this is an online backup persay. Just means you don't have to go to cwm to make one. I just checked my cwm folder and the backup I just made was there.

That's correct, hence the name onandroid, that's because it makes a backup in android OS instead of having to reboot to CWM to do it at that point...

EDIT: Just to let you guys know they also have an installable zip file for CWM to use a file manager within CWM, it's made with Aroma, just do a Google Search for Aroma File Manager... :p

Here's the link to the XDA Post for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108

I downloaded the Aromafm-1.80.zip at the bottom of post #2... :D

but i like ES file explorer *puppy eyes*

Anyone know where/what the ogg file is for the tone which plays when the phone has no service? I can't find to setting to disable it (if it even exists) so I figured I'd just rename/delete the ogg file. I go in and out of service where I live while driving and it is getting fairly annoying.
