Root [DISCONTINUED][ROM][5.1.1][MS345] Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 for LG Leon

Once I get off work today I'm gonna give everything a go. But let's say I backup just /data and flash CM would I be able to restore that data over the existing data.

Also, has anyone had trouble restoring to stock ROM? I backed up with yellow TWRP and when I changed to blue TWRP and tried to restore when it starts I get a system error. I'm thinking its because of different TWRP versions but I'm not sure.

Maybe because you backed up on the yellow TWRP first as I did when I first rooted the Leon. When I flashed the proper blue TWRP it wouldn't seam to pick up on my stock rom backup either. So I was pretty much out of a stock nandroid backup and had to run CM or nothing as I didn't have a pc either so.....

Well I get off in an hour so I'm gonna reflash CM and if that doesn't fix the issues I'm gonna flash yellow TWRP, and try and restore my backup. If that doesn't work, I don't know how I'm gonna flash the blue version without my phone on. There's no fastboot I don't think. Or could it be done with adb?

let us know that goes

I flashed yellow TWRP and restored my old stock backup. Same system ui error when trying to pattern unlock, booted into recovery and wiped data and cache. It booted up but some settings would force close and wireless connections didn't work. Needless to say that backup is corrupted.

After that I adb'd to my phone from my computer, flashed blue TWRP and flashed CM 09/05, this time I cleared everything. Lot less bugs, brightness works great, battery life is great so far. I've had a couple reboots from GPS stuff but when I ran catalog and tried to replicate the crashes it wouldn't do it. So maybe they were flukes. Other then that I'm all good. 09/05 is pretty stable with a 100% clean install.

Hello everyone, just giving an update on my experience with this rom. I've had 9-05 build since a few days after its release, and its been really awesome. (after deleting CNE stuff the hard way with root browser and constant cne pop ups lol) Its smooth, and stable for everything aside from what V4A fixed for me, and it really enhanced my experience with this phone(ms345). I get a weird reboot sometimes with play store and GPS (sometimes) works really crappy even when in areas that have great reception and no mountains/tunnels/hills/trees/giant buildings. Just sometimes works trashy for me without explanation. Works great same places most days, others it just hates me. On those days I use GPS test from play store to update agps every stop light and it gets me by but it is a hassle and I just thought I'd share that since it never did that to me on previous builds that GPS worked for me(including stock). Also sometimes when I boot, it'll loop like 2 times then boot but always fully boots in the end so no biggie there imo. This is all after finally breaking down and clean installing in an attempt to fix my GPS issue but still same experience both ways for me. I may have sounded negative in this post, but in all truth, this rom is amazing and the devs are even more amazing for building it. Huge thank you for all the work so far!!! I've been tinkering with some Xposed modules recently and the ones I like been working nicely. Can't wait for the next build!!! (had issues installing 9-06 for some reason so I'm staying 9-05 until the next one) I highly recommend this rom over stock for anyone with this phone. Thank you everyone here for being so helpful and devs again for their awesomeness. Hope you all have a safe and wonderful night/day. -Online93

AFAIK you can only get root on 10E and the boot loader is locked. It's looking pretty bad. 10b all the way up to 10d are good to go. There's a downgrade guide out here: http://androidforums.com/threads/downgrade-root-for-10e-users.929187/ but that's to downgrade to 10d, I think it can be done if you can find a 10b kdz. Also if you do follow that guide for 10d make sure you don't use the kdz it provides because it's for the T-Mobile version.
Boot loader isnt locked you just need to root and enable oem unlock in developer options. This only works for LG devices on T-Mobile/MetroPCS. Same with G Stylo and G4.

hmm is anyone happen to be working on some ports (slim, pac,carbon) slim would be awesome always my favorite
Actually I am, been trying to port the pacman ROM, it install in the twrp recovery but deletes the system partition, I've tried to convert Bliss, pacman, liquid smooth, will try carbon next

so if I download 10d I can get cm 12.1???

From what I understand you can flash TWRP on 10d. I would do more research or wait for someone more knowledgeable to show up before doing it just to confirm though.

Please find a way to unlock h340n c50n lg leon bootloader :)
I don't know anyone in this community with such advanced knowledge of unlocking bootloaders. Even the G4 devs don't have a way around LG's new boot loader. Qualcomm has really stepped up their security and since LG uses Qualcomm's LK bootloader you can expect it to be very hard to figure out how to unlock it or even bypass it.

I still get random reboots and some unstable environment with the latest build. I have under clocked the CPU to save power. Of course when the 06 build came out I just flashed it over the 05 build I don't like to start over with restoring personal data and rely on ROM toolbox pro for most app operations. I get so many random reboots with internet radio apps. Sometimes too much data usage especially with Facebook app will also cause a random reboot.

9/06 is known to have these issues. 9/05 doesnt
