Help DROID Incredible random restart/reboot problem

I am in North Texas. My phone has rebooted itself about 6 times in the last 2 weeks. Typically this happens right when I am arriving at the house (coming home from work) or leaving the house. In every case, the phone was idle, locked, and either sitting in my belt case or once on the table recharging.

I called in to Tech support and they told me that there was a "known issue" in the south region with their Motorola Routers causing reboots on the HTC Driod incredible. He said he would email me an update, but I never received anything from him.

I've had a few reboots, but I wouldn't call them random. I think I can limit them to using Bluetooth and Slacker Radio @ the same time. Every now and again while switching tracks the phone will reboot. I think this is more of a Slacker Radio problem then DI.

the first few weeks i only saw a re-boot every few days if that.

Now in the last few days i have seen it reboot about 8 times.

I get a -99 signal in my home and only live 5 min from downtown seattle.

Hopefully there is a fix for this coming soon..

Just when i thought that i had absolutely no issues with the phone...

I still love the sh1t out of my incredible.

I live in California and I am on my second inc and both have been rebooting on me several times a day. I do not know the cause of the issue. I am not downloading bad apps.

I have about -102 to -90 in Shoreline. Weaker than Sprint which I use for work. No reboots except when I pull the battery, call *228 (once) and during set up. Might be either an app or a bad phone. I don't use SMS, texting.

Verizon wants me to do a factory reset to see if its a hardware issue.

i notice that i only get the random reboots at home, where i have only a -99 or worse signal.

The rebooting issues never seem to happen when i have a strong signal at school or on the road.

I dont sms or text. I have the latest PRL out.

Verizon called me back on my trouble ticket. He said I am the only one in NY to report the random reboot problem. He said the issue in the South has been resolved. He also said that Verizon does not read the forums. He went on to say that anyone who is having the random reboot problem MUST call verizon and insist on creating a Trouble Ticket. Without trouble tickets they will not fix the problem.

This is going to sound crazy, but my phone must have rebooted 15 times today in a hour long meeting. After the meeting, a guy next to me asked what was wrong with my phone, he joked, every time i got an email, your phone was rebooting. So we tested it out, he has a blackberry on AT&T, and we sent email after email, and each time, my phone rebooted when it was withing a couple of feet of his phone. Some one please explain that one!!!

Wow that's interesting. There may be a flaw in the Incredible if that is the case. Report it to Verizon: SPECIAL UNPUBLISHED VERIZON NETWORK REPAIR BUREAU - 866-298-5373

I live in tennessee and when going through a dead zone tonight it rebooted. This is the first time i noticed any glitch on this phone

Sent from my Incredible using tapatalk

I live on the Eastside of Seattle and no reboots for me, however I do have some dust underneath the screen, but they are going to send me a new one whenever they get more.

I'm upto 112 hours of uptime already. I've taken the elevators or been in low signal areas a bunch of times during this time with no reboots. So changing it to HOME is working for me. I'll post if and when it does reboot.

My uptime is now 201 hours. No reboots obviously and no issues since setting System Select to HOME. I've taken this phone everywhere and plenty of dead zones including the NYC Subway, etc. with zero issues.

Just my 2 cents.

My reboots are becoming more frequent. This is not something that can be fixed by having them send a new phone, correct? I REALLY dont want to have to do that!!

Mine rebooted again last night around midnight. This usually happens a few times a week, always at about the same time.
