I have thought about hiring one before, but I think I am hopeless. I am not tone deaf or anything, I play several musical instruments, I just can't sing. I am bad enough that I am the only person I know that has ever been banned from karaoke at a bar :eek:, lol. At least I know and admit I am bad though.

And, BTW, WOW that is a lot of posts!!

It didn't work for me the first time either. I had to reboot my phone and my pc and then if it got frozen in process, unplug and replug the usb cord in mid-process. It works, though. Trust me.

hahah whats funny is I trusted it until you said "the face of a man you can trust" Just seems fishy lol.

Honestly though I had tried rebooting and pulling the cord I never tryed plugging the cord right back in though. I'd go for it if I wasn't already rooted
 
some folks were having issues with that method of root. I can't remember what the issue was. I think it was with wireless tether. If you're doing okay with this, than why tamper with a good thing? Y'know what I mean?
 
Hey guys the pastor at my church who is also a good friend of mine just got a droid x! Only thing is hes trying to port his outlook over to it. Now I can get the email but he needs his outlook calender to. Anyone know anything about this? I use Yahoo and Gmail. When I am using Outlook its to set up business accounts in the actual outlook program for friends and family. Any helps appreciated!
 
nope, not if you do it right. I have a rooted DX. Also, if you put modifications on and make a mistake, there is an sbf file that you can use through your PC to put things aright. :D

As long as you can follow directions it is almost impossible to brick while rooting. You only have to worry if you start modifying system files after you root, and if you are not comfortable bricking and restoring you just shouldn't be modifying system files IMO, but everyone should root!

You're right. I think that should be lesson number 1. It wasn't for me, but one nice AF guide talked me through sbf, now I'm a pro. :D
 
Hello All I have a Question. What is the easiest way to root your Droid X ? I just got it yesterday and I had the Droid Eris and I rooted the eris and install KaosFroyo. Looking to Root my X now. I love this phone it does everything I want it too do and more. Its Awesome Thanks in advance

So is this link for the Droid X ? I am assuming that u use the Universal Tab to Root the X right ? I see Samsung Captivate tab and was just curious . My Droid X system is 2.2 like i said in the post above i just got it yesterday from the Verizon store. I am so excited about this phone just there are apps on it that i will never use so yeah i am ready to root it lol

I haven't used it yet, but I asked a mod (Fab) about it and he confirmed it worked including rooting the OTA. I am going to upgrade to the OTA after he finishes ApeX using the OTA.

That is understandable I guess. The best sure fire way to undo anything you have done is just to sbf back to factory condition, which you can do worry free now that we have the full 2.2 sbf :D

Alright. I think i'll wait until that update I've heard about that is supposed to come from Moto hits before I do it. I'd like that update ;)
 
I got a error message and then this when i try to one click root, I have Net framework 3.0 i have all of the driver, I have unmounted my SD card and have USB Debugging Check. What am I doing wrong here. I know its something simple. By the time my question is answered i might have figured it out but please answer away just incase. Thanks in Advance
