Not sure who to ask about this, a mod maybe??

I can not attach anything because I am over my attachment allotment apparently. I tried to edit my attachments so I could get rid of some but the page isn't loading.

I know some people on here have to have attached a lot with all those posts, so how can I attach some more screen shots? Just point me in the right direction someone.

Why don't you pm phases or shivers. They're the admins. :) Consider yourself pointed, in a friendly way, of course!

I will tomorrow, I was just curious if there was a way to fix it myself without bothering them. I found the page to manager attachments, it just won't load.
 
Hey guys,
So I tried Rooting 2.2 on my X today and well it wasn't horrible but it didn't go well either. Every time I try it comes up with "ADB Restarting..." and never Changes from that. It's in PC mode with Developer mode ON. I've also tried other modes to no avail. I'm using the ADB method with Doroot found here How to: Root DROID X Running Official Android 2.2 - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog and also here Motorola Droid X Froyo Root Available Now; Here?s How You Do It [Motorola Droid X with Android 2.2 Can Be Rooted Too] TFTS – Technology, Gadgets & Curiosities More or less it's seems to be a hands off method. Install ADB, Update ADB, Unzip Drag and Drop DoRoot and click it. But somethings wrong... Any ideas?

So I tried the D2 method and everything seemed to go smoothly (Phone didn't brick and all the commands went through correctly) Now though I can install and use my back up pro which even says "this phone has root user access" but unfortunatly Android Wifi Tether is unable to connect.

Edit: Never mind guys a second quick restart and everything is working smoothly! thanks! :)

I found his use of kirby awesome.. Had to say it haha.

What are you doing with your root, Steven?

Are you flashing customized ROMs for the yet? I see a few around ("Saphire").

I've rooted my Fascinate, but we await ROMS.. just removing bloatware for now..this reminds me of months ago rooting the Eris and not long after Kaos and Tazz came up with 2.2 ROMs. :)

Had this same exact problem. Phases said it was a bug, we should be able to 'manage attachments' but cant. He wiped all mine out, took him all of 2 seconds. Of course 2 days later i made guide and the attachment limit went away:mad:

Good question. So far, I've killed some bloat. Additionally, I have lots of root apps like Wireless Tether, one touch reboot, setcpu (underclocking when I need to), tibu, cache cleaner, AD FREE!, autoKiller (donation version) for root. I'm just loving that control.

Regarding Roms. I like what I have, so no. The Ooooonly Rom I maaaay be interested in is the R2D2 one for the D2, but maybe not as it may be a bit tacky.

I should have known haha. I'm hoping its nice and not just done up like a childs toy they could make it really nice or like you stated tacky.

On another note is their any way to get the HTC clock without flashing any HTC roms over? like an app or something? i've looked but found nothing

My favorite is Beautiful Widgets for its flexibility. There are others:

BW:

Beautiful Widgets - Android app on AppBrain

Fancy Widget: I think they took it off the market but I think it's around

There are a couple more, but I just deleted them, and can't remember. But yeah, they're there. BW is by far the best though. Just fyi, there is a skin to it to make it look even more like sense. It's free and I have it. I don't know if it's offered by BW, but I can send it to you if you would like!
 
Yeah, Fancy Widgets is still out there floating around a simple google search will get it done. I had beautiful widgets on my home screen for a long time but switched over to fancy widgets this weekend. I think it goes well with the black notification bar personally... But knowing me I'll switch back and forth between them for the next few weeks.
 
Anyone know where I can find the Droid X SBF file? I havent bricked or anything but just incase i'd like to have it handy before going any farther with roms or deodexing. I tried looking but every link was 404'ed including links to The Pirate Bay

Edit:

Nevermind I seem to have found one, although it's posted as being "SBF 2.3.13" I've seen posts stating "don't try using SBF to restore to 2.1 from OTA 2.2 you will brick phone" So my only concern is 2.3.13 2.2 or 2.1 because I know my 2.2 is listed as being "2.3.15"

Well it appears all I have to do is wait a few months for this d/l to finish atleast its going I guess? Btw anyone here in January Portal 2 is coming out and it's CO-OP I had not realized. Anyways Yeah Thats Half-Random.
