Root Droid X sbf File Released....Now you can unbrick

What was causing the multiple random reboots.
Who knows, I do know that Tibku can restore too much data and cause problems. I've been wondering if some people, the ones that are having more problems than most, if maybe doing a factory reset and reinstalling their apps from scratch would help. Kind like doing a clean reload of Windows except on your phone.

I've done this a few times and it does seem to help get rid of random bugs. I can start with a completely fresh phone and get everything installed and setup in about 1.5 hours now.

I did refresh to 2.1 from 2.2, at which time I wiped all.

No I was randomly rebooting when I was on 2.2, and rooted.
I am trying to figure out which or what was forcing the reboots.
2.2 or rooting.

Whats "Tibku" ?

What he said. Restoring system data, it seems, can sometime cause problems.

OH well it happened multiple times a day before I restored.
Its happened only once since but that once is enough to get me to call and get it replaced.

Random reboots shouldn't be.

Well if its being caused by software a new phone isn't going to fix it and never will. If you reinstall whatever was that was causing it it's just going to start all over again. I'd factory reset and leave it like that for day or so and see how it goes. If it doesn't reboot I'd add a few apps per day until it starts again. That way you have some idea what may be causing it.
If it reboots in a factory fresh setup it may be hardware. But then again it could be the OS has a bug. I've had my reboot from time to time it's not a big deal as long as it doesn't do it all the time. These are computers running multiple apps in top of an OS, things can go wrong even on a perfectly good phone.

Is the. Sbf around 200mb or 400mb because the one I have is a little under 450.im just curious. I really need to flash my phone. Im sick of having to boot my phone up twice, and I just to make sure I have the right tools. I really would appreciate it if someone helped me with this situation.

How will I know if my phone is being recognized by rsd?

And from what I have read in this thread you wipe all cache and data?? This is done BEFORE you flash right?? So does anything else in recovery need to be done??
Because I read from another forum that doing a factory reset before flashing permanently bricks my phone.

Im a very careful person and I read a lot of different answers on how to flash your phone. I just need one person to help me with my current dilemma. Thanks guys
