Root dumb quest(cant find thread)about CyanogenMod

is CyanogenMod "written" for DX? What is the best out there for themes,roms , overclocking,under"voltage", etc.........

perhaps some of yous can answer that question, and then perhaps put multiple links to those above items(if possible).

There is no version of CM7 for the DX due to the locked bootloader. I use DroidX Overclock to oc mine.

theres no CM7 roms but im running the new apex 2.0 RC1, and its an AOSP based rom, that in conjunction with droid overclock, gets me a completely stock rom, and over clocked undervolted kernel.

As far as oc and uv go get the app called Droid X overclock by jrummy and maybe check out quickclock as well.

you sure about that? or is it just the OTA made too appear like a AOSP ROM?

AOSP would be compiled from src, which means APEX would be ahead of the curve and wouldn't have to waited for the GB leaks or OTA.

I'm not saying it isnt for a fact, as I've not looked into it, but what I said makes sense to me.

EDIT: its OTA cooked to look AOSP-ish

TECHNICALLY there is a CM4DX. But it is not released and is heavily being worked on. Great strides have been made. But don't worry, if it comes to fruition, the internet will explode

Heavily being worked on? I thought it was cancelled, and if it isn't cancelled I doubt its being worked on more than the slightest bit.

That would be nice, I can finally try out this CM that everyone keeps speaking so highly of

Hopefully, if it's true, I won't be expecting too much and then be disappointed when/if I finally do try it

I had a D1 and honestly, I like Apex more than Cyanogenmod. *Shrug* CM just has a lot of features
