Im having the same problem as well. i try to root, and then it just gets stuck at "daemon started successfully".
i had the same problem with mine. last night i got my esteem out of Test Mode. everything worked fine except i couldnt connect to the pc. i have to admit i was messing with the options before i found Fuzzy13's guide to fixing it. >___< but i was able to fix it. not sure why or how it works but it did.
step1. i dialed ##626* to get the metropcs hidden menu
step2. it asks for a service code. what i used was a conversion of my IMEI to SPC using this page.
http://http://www.meidconverter.com/ you can find your IMEI/MEID on the "about phone>Status" menu. type it in and write or remember the SPC number it gives you, its the 6 digit number at the very bottom, and use that to open the menu
step3. select the option that says "Network Select". this opens another menu with 4 options.
step4. select the "LTE USB disable/enable" option and make sure its disabled. if it isnt, switch it over.
step5. now you can simply exit out as you wish, back button it all the way or just press home.
now try to connect it to your computer, hopefully, it should work and the LG autorun/ internal memory/ external memory autoplay menus should pop up. but if it doesnt work, then im terribly sorry. you can revert the option you changed if you wish. but this is just my experience and what worked for me.

Ok. So that method wouldnt work for me but it did help me though. After trying this i got the idea to delete the backup file and blobs folder on my external sd card. I put Ldriftas backup in that backup folder and it worked perfectly.

Phone say no service and no sim...sim was never removed and bill was paid also it boots and loads but lock screen does nothing to enter the phone but yet gets calls and mms... Any ideas?

Reflashed worked great except still reads "Insert Sim" idk anyone have this problem?

my phon cant read sd cards!! It says error or something( dont want to restart phone) but hats been a problem for a long time. Ive even tried different sd cards and none work. Please help ! :

Have you confirmed that each sd card you have tried reads in your computer or a different phone
You could also try unmounting the card in settings and re mounting it to see if it picks it up. What kind of cards are they btw

If you tried them in different phones/computer and they work it sounds like an issue with the phone. Hopefully insurance is an option for you.

gbiggie i tried the exitrecovery,and im sill getting random reebootss?? should i try another rom, or revert bk to stock and return it for hopefully,a better refurbished one lol

Try flashing the ROM after making sure you have wiped everything correctly. If it still doesn't play nice then yes an different ROM may be your best bet.
Are you overclocking? That may be why your getting reboots-if you have it set higher than your device can handle.

no oc here ,basicly when i had my old esteem tuned to my satisfaction,i didnt need oc,i was pleased with my monster,but the reboot thing is driving me crrazy,ill redownload #2 2.7 and wipe everything(should i still do the exit recovery flash afterwards?) and guess ill give #2 2.5 ( like that one too),maybe try the black plaque too. thank you for the suggestions and ill get back with you all if i find anything out...... thanks again

TEST MODE FIX
--Plug your phone into your USB connection.
--Go to START then CONTROL PANEL then DEVICE MANAGER. Scroll down to "Ports(Com and LPT)" Expand it and your phone SHOULD be listed with a "COM7", "COM3" etc....
--Get YOUR "COM" number and remember it. This is what USB port you are plugged into. (If you don't see your phone, the drivers are NOT installed correctly.)
--Open and extract the Test Mode Zip on your desktop
--Open up the folder "Test Mode Fix" You should be looking at this.
--Open the drop down menu and find YOUR "COM" port.
--Click on CONNECT after you select YOUR "COM" and it SHOULD look like this.
--It takes 2-3 seconds and your phone will reboot if it is successful.
CONGRATULATIONS. You are now out of the dreaded TEST MODE.
Now for the fun stuff. Let's get your service back working.

Try plugging the phone into the computer and restarting it while still plugged in. Thinking the adb drivers failed to load for you the first time you attempted it.
Then try the process again. If it still won't cooperate uninstall everything including the drivers and the test mode files and start anew with your antivirus/malware programs disabled.
