Factory reset kills 3g? (Sticky above)

Thank you for the switch pro recommendation. For over a week, I've been looking for a way to turn data off without turning the phone off.

I did a factory reset yesterday and the 3g didn't come on.....what I did to fix it was go to settings, Wireless & Networks, Mobile Networks, System Select, Change from Automatic to Home, and then changed back from Home to Automatic and within a couple seconds 3G came back up. If you did the reset and have no 3G give that a try.

Thank you. I had no 3G but after following your instructions, I do now.:)

I did a factory reset before with my Droid X and haven't noticed anything strange. Has Verizon come up with any official solution for this issue? Have they not noticed it earlier with previous devices?

I unintentionally did a factory reset (apparently, the phone resets after you change your phone number...) on August 5 and I activated it and it worked fine immediately after.

I just did another reset today still no problems. I still think its people who may have rooted there phones. Just sayn. Unless someone who rooted can say I did a reset and nothing happened.

I was rooted when I reset. Like I said mine didn't work at first but I put how I fixed it above.
